IICD 2023 Application Process:
The application form releases in December every year. Check the official website to seek the application form:
- Candidates need to apply in the online mode.
- If any candidate applies multiple times, the application will be rejected.
- Fill in the important information in the application form correctly
- It is equally important to upload the documents in the prescribed format. The scanned image of the photo should be of size 100 KB to 200 KB and signature for 20 KB to 50 KB in JPG/JPEG format.
- Applicants will receive the confirmation email along with the payment reference id after submitting the application form and application fee.

Under Graduate Courses:
- Applicants must have cleared 10+2 from some recognized board of education.
- Those who are appearing in the qualifying exam may also appear in the IICD examination.
Post Graduate Courses:
- Applicants must have cleared XII from some recognized board of education.
- Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination of the current year may also apply.
- Candidates who have completed graduation in Design/Architecture will get direct admission to 2 years M.Voc. programme after clearing the entrance test. However, graduates from Non-Design backgrounds are eligible for M.Voc. after completing 1 Year Certificate in Foundation Program for Design (CFPD) offered at IICD ET.
Exam Pattern:
Candidates need to have complete information about the examination pattern. This includes types of questions, the number of questions, exam mode, and various other details. Following are the important details about the IICD exam pattern:
- There will be three rounds in the exam.
- Paper will be conducted in the English language.
- The exam will take place in the offline mode
- There will be two separate written tests: General Awareness and Creativity & Perception Test.

- General Awareness, Creativity & Perception Test: Candidates’ observation abilities, organization, visual interpretation, and general awareness will be accessed.
- Material, Color & Conceptual Test: This section includes the test of intelligent use of materials, conceptualizing and realizing a 3-dimensional form, skill of handling material, create a solution based on a plan and strategy.
- Interview: It includes questions based on Aptitude to crafts, Intelligence quotient (IQ), Communication Ability, General Awareness about Crafts & Design, Overall Personal Achievements in academics and co-curricular activities
Admit Card:

- Admit Card will be sent via email to the eligible applicants at their registered email id by the official authority.
- The candidate needs to carry an original Identity Card. It can be any form of Driver’s License, Passport, PAN card, Voter ID, UID, or Identity card of the last school.
