IIM Bangalore admission process is based on the scores acquired attained by students in the national-level entrance examination. However, admission to the flagship course (PGP or MBA) of IIMB is entirely based on valid scores acquired in the CAT examination followed by a PI-WAT round.

IIM Bangalore Admission 2023 for PGP, PGPBA Courses:
IIM Bangalore offers admission to PGP and PGPBA programmes at the Postgraduate level. Admission to these two programmes is proffered via valid scores acquired in the CAT exam (GMAT for international candidates). Along with this, shortlisted candidates will attend WAT and PI round, and provide 2 letters of reference from people who know closely in terms of their academic/professional performance.

Eligibility criteria for PGP (MBA), PGPBA Courses:
- Post Graduate Programme in Management (MBA) is a two-year full-time programme.
- Candidate must be possessed with the graduation degree attaining 50% and 45% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category
Post Graduate Programme in Business Analytics (MBA Business Analytics):
- The applicant must have done graduation with at least 50% marks.
Selection Process for PGP, PGPBA:
The selection process is a two-staged selection process for both PGP and PGPBA programmes
Stage 1: In this stage, those who have cleared the CAT exam will proceed further. These candidates will attend a personal interview (PI) and will go through a Writing Ability Test (WAT) on a topic provided by IIMB.
As mentioned earlier that those who have successfully completed the CAT exam will move further, given below is the percentile cutoff applied to CAT scores:
- PGP CAT Overall Cutoff: For General category 85%, OBC 70%, EWS 70%, SC 65%, ST 55%, and PWD 50%,
- PGPBA CAT Overall Cutoff: For General category 85%, OBC 70%, EWS 70%, SC 65%, ST 55%, and PWD 50%
Stage 2: The final aggregate score is calculated on the basis of the following weightage:
- WAT Scores for PGP should be 10, PI score should be 30, CAT scores should be 25, class X 10, class XII 5, graduation 10, work experience 10
- WAT Scores for PGP BA should be 10, PI score should be 35, CAT scores should be 30, class X 10, class XII 7.5, graduation 7.5,
IIM Bangalore Admission 2023 PGPEM, EPGP Courses:
PGPEM is a two-year weekend course PGPEM and EPGP is one-year full-time regular course.
- The admission to PGPEM is based on the shortlisting of the candidates for the personal interview based on the performance in CAT/GMAT/GRE/IIMB Test, prior academic performance and duration of work experience. The shortlisted candidates will be called for WAT and PI
- The admission to EPGP is based on the relevant scores attained in GMAT or GRE along with a Statement of Purpose (SOP)
Eligibility Criteria for PGPEM (Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management) Course:
- Candidate must have done graduation with aggregate of 50% in any discipline
- Candidate must have work experience of at least 4 years after graduation.
Eligibility Criteria for EPGP (Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management)
- Candidate must be a graduate with at least 50% in aggregate and 45% for SC, ST and PwD category candidates
- Candidate must have at least 5 years but not more than 12 years of work experience in the year of admission.
IIM Bangalore PGPPM Admission 2023: PGPPM (Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management) is another important course offered by IIMB. The candidate will be selected on the basis of academics/ work experience/ performance in CAT/GMAT/GRE/IIMB test and interview.
Eligibility Criteria for PGPPM (Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management)
Candidate must be a graduate with at least 50% marks in aggregate and a minimum of 5 years of work experience preferably in a Public Policy domain on the year of admission
IIM Bangalore PhD Admission 2023: IIM Bangalore offers PhD programme in several specializations. To seek admission to this course is based on several parameters like candidate’s performance in GMAT, GRE, CAT, GATE, JRF (NET), or IIMB Test (as applicable), academic performance, work experience, area-specific test and interview performance, etc.
Eligibility Criteria for PhD Course:
- Candidate must have done post-graduation or a 5-year integrated Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in graduation and post graduation.
OR
- Candidate must be possessed with the professional qualification such as CA, ICWA, CS, with a minimum 50% aggregate.
- Candidate must be possessed with a 4-year Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 6.5 CGPA or Equivalent marks

- First visit the official website and seek the application form.
- Create a login ID and password for the online application form
- Fill in personal details, educational & work experience details along with scores attained in GATE/CAT/GMAT/GRE/NET
