IIM Calcutta Admission 2023: IIM stands for the Indian Institute of Management which is located in prominent cities of India including Calcutta. IIM Calcutta is a top name amongst all IIMs in the country and is a well-known business school in Asia. It came into being in the year 1961 and is the first triple-accredited (by AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS) B-School from India. The institution offers a wide range of postgraduate management and doctorate programme.

Eligibility Criteria:

• To acquire admission in PGPM (MBA) candidate must be possessed with the degree in graduation with a minimum 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/ ST/ PWD category applicants)
• To apply for PGDBA, the candidate must have successfully completed 10+2+4 with at least 60% or 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale or equivalent in BS/BTech/BE or equivalent Level

OR

• Must have passed 10+2+5 mode with at least 60%, or 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale or equivalent, in the Integrated Masters/ BArch/ MBBS or equivalent level

OR

• Must have passed10+2+3+2 with at least 60%, or CGPA 6.5 on a 10-point scale, or equivalent, in the Masters Level
• For the reserved category, candidates must acquire at least 55% or 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale or equivalent

To apply for PGPEx-VLM, the candidate must have completed First-class graduation engineer with 1st division/ 1st class marks from SLC/ Madhyamik

• At least 4½ to 10 years of work experience in manufacturing, engineering and related sector (For self-sponsored candidates not in service)
• Sponsored candidates must have at least 4½ years of work experience only (there is no upper limit of experience)

To apply for PGPEx (MBA Ex), the candidate must have done graduation (minimum 10+2+3 years of formal education) or equivalent in any discipline

• Minimum 5-years of full time post-qualification managerial/professional experience

Admission to MBA in IIM Calcutta is offered on the below-mentioned criteria:

• Stage I: CAT percentage for PI and WAT. In this stage, the minimum CAT percent cutoff of candidates is checked which is important for the PI and WAT process.
• Stage II: Short-listing for PI and WAT process. In this stage, a composite score calculated including scores acquired in classes X and XII and scores attained in CAT marks acquired in graduation, and gender diversity factor.

IIM Calcutta Admission 2023 Application Form:

• For PGPM, candidates must register via CAT official website.
• Fill all the details mentioned in the application form carefully
• Attach the documents such as scorecard of class X, XII, graduation, etc.
• Submit the application form and pay the application fee.

List of Documents: Candidates will send the following documents with the duly filled application form:

• Application fee paid by DD/banker’s cheque
• GMAT/CAT scorecard
• Proof of proficiency in English, if applicable
• Self-attested scanned copies of original certificates and mark sheets/transcripts of exams passed / degrees obtained
• Statement of Purpose
• Two Letters of Recommendation

Admission Process:

• The institute proffers admission to MBA, MBA Executive, PGPEX-VLM, PGDBA and doctoral courses under several disciplines of management studies.
• The MBA programme needs a valid score in CAT examination with a minimum of 85%
• Admission to MBA is granted on the basis of cumulative score of CAT percentile, Personal Interview, WAT (Written Ability Test), past academic performance, and work experience.
• For seeking admission to PGPEX-VLM, the candidate must have done graduation in engineering Candidates must have done post-graduation with at least 60% to seek admission in PGDBA
• A doctoral programme is also offered under various specializations

IIM Calcutta Admission 2020 PGPM, PGPEx-VLM, PGPEx:

• IIM Calcutta provides 4 programmes in the field of management at the postgraduate level:
• Selection to PGPM course is based on scores attained in CAT, WAT & PI, academic profile and work experience
• It is not mandatory for overseas candidates to have a valid GMAT score for seeking admission to PGPM
• PGDBA course is jointly offered by IIM Calcutta, IIT Kharagpur, and ISI Kolkata
• For seeking admission to PGDBA, candidates will appear in written test and interview
