IIST Application Form 2022:

The candidates have to find, fill out, and submit the completed IIST 2022 Application Form online mode through the official website. An offline application form will not be provided. The application form will be available from September 2022 (for UG courses) and May 2022 (for PG courses).

  • The candidates are required to fill up all the relevant details like academic, personal, communication JEE Advanced examination, and other such information.
  • They have to upload the scanned image other signatures, photographs, cast certificates (if applicable), and health certificates (PwD candidates).
  • The payment of the application fee can be made through the bank challan of SBI or Union Bank of India.
  • The candidates should upload the scanned image of the challan and then Submit the Form.
  • After submitting of application form the candidates should take out the print of the application form for future references.

IIST Application Fee:

The application fee for the UG course will be Rs.250/- per departmental code (for general) and Rs.125/- for SC, ST, PwD, and women.

Application fee for PG courses will be Rs.600/- (for male candidates of general and OBC) and Rs.300/- for female candidates of general/OBC, SC, ST, and PwD candidates. The application fee is non-refundable. NRI candidates can make the payment of fee through Demand Draft made in favor of “The Registrar IIST” payable at Thiruvananthapuram, India. Eligibility Criteria:

The candidates must be an Indian national. For more details about Eligibility Criteria must read below:

For UG Courses (B.Tech.):

The candidates must have passed the 12th or equivalent examination with 75% or more marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects (65% for SC/ST and PwD candidates) and must have qualified in the JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2022 examination. General and OBC candidates must have been born on or after 1st October 1993 and SC/ST and PwD candidates must have born on or after 1st October 1988.

For PG Courses (M.Tech/M.S.):

the candidates must have passed B.Tech./B.E./M.S/M.Sc. or equivalent degree securing a minimum of 60% marks. The age limit is 28 years on the last date of submission of the application. Relaxation in age limit will be given to SC/ST and PwD candidates. The candidates must have a valid GATE/JEST/UGC NET score in a relevant area.

IIST Exam Pattern:

  • The Exam will be conducted through Offline mode.
  • The Exam will consist of MCQ types of questions.
  • There will be 3 sections in the exam i.e, physics, chemistry &mathematics.
  • 3 marks will be given for every correct answer & 1 mark will be detected for every wrong answer.

Seat Reservation for IIST:

The seat reservation for UG courses are as follows:

IIST Cut Off 2022:

students can check the IIST Cut Off list official website. The authority will release two types of cut off – First is Eligibility Cut Off and Second Admission Cut Off:

The First Cut Off list was released based on the achieving marks of candidates. The second will be published Admission cut off on basis of candidates rank, performance in interview category, admission, availability of seats, etc.

Counselling:

For UG Programme, a rank list shall be released by the authorities based on the candidate’s performance in the JEE Advanced 2022 and marks obtained in the entrance test. The rank list will be generated for the candidates who have registered themselves online for admission to IIST and fulfill all the eligibility criteria prescribed by the authorities.

For PG Programme, the candidates shall be shortlisted for admission to IIST, based on marks secured in GATE/JEST/UGC NET examination in the relevant areas for those who have applied online for admission to IIST. The candidates who qualify in the examination have to appear for the interview organized by the institution. The candidates must bring all the relevant documents in original while reporting for the interview.
