IIT Roorkee Ph.D. Admission 2022: Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee was established as the Roorkee College in 1847. It was the first engineering college in India at that time. After a while, it renames as Thomason College of civil engineering in 1854 after the name of the mentor James Thomason. After 100 years of service in academics, this college elevates to the rank of the university, named as University of Roorkee, and becomes the first college of engineering on November 25, 1949, in the independence of India. IIT Roorkee Ph.D. Admission 2022 Eligibility Criteria:

Below are all details about IIT Roorkee Ph.D. Admission 2022 Eligibility Criteria. So read below you will get help.

• All the aspirants must have a Master’s degree in a related discipline from a state-recognized university. Equivalent CGPA 6.5 minimum or overall 60% marks in aggregate (throughout the semesters). Where marks are given for General Candidates & passed the national level graduate entrance examination (GATE/UGC-NET/CSIR/NET or equivalent).
• The candidates must have a Master’s degree in a related discipline from a state-recognized university or institution or equivalent scoring minimum CGPA 6.5 OR 60% marks in aggregate (of all the years/semesters) All the aspirants must have B.Tech/B.Arch. degree or equivalent in related discipline from CFTIs scoring minimum 75% OR 7.0).
• The candidates for GATE are not applicable to the applicants from CFTIs (the list of CFTIs is available on the official website of the institute).

All the aspirants appearing for Master’s degree in engineering OR architecture from IIT Roorkee scoring 7.50 CGPA can access the option of internal lateral entry in the Ph.D. course after completing all pre-requisites of the 1^st 2 semesters of the 1^st year of the Master’s degree.

Eligibility for Part-Time Ph.D.:

The candidates having minimum require entry qualification for the degree-

• All the aspirants must have proof that their official duties are leveraging him/her to spare the required time for research.
• Must have to present personally at the institute premise for the minimum period of 6 months during the tenure of registration degree.
• All these aspirants will be exempted from the requirement of authentic scores of GATE/NET/GPAT.
• The candidates must are in continuous service with the sponsoring organization for a minimum period of 2 years while submitting the application form.

Post/Submission: It is highly advisable for all the aspirants, that before sending your application form, please ensure, in addition to the above other relevant documents as indicated below are attached:

• IITR copy of challan
• GATE/NET Certificate
• Copies of all the mark-sheets, degree certificates, or provisional certificates if they have passed their qualifying degree.
•  Verified copy of OBC/SC/ST/PD category certificate if any)
• Copy of experience of two years on the required date and NOC from the employer, in case the candidate is sponsored.

All the aspirants have to apply online on the official website of IIT Roorkee http://pgadm.iitr.ernet.in. All the aspirants have to fill all the required and authentic details in the application form, as per the certificates. They also have to paste the photograph in the specified format. Download the IITR copy of the bank challan and signature. Then, the application forms along with all the required documents have to be sent to the below address –

2. Stage II (Procedure for the Payment of application fee)

• The fee for the application form will be Rs. 200 for the students belong to the category of General/OBC and Rs. 100/- for the SC/ST/PD. The fee will be payable at the branch of SBI, irrespective of the location by bank Challan on or before the last date (bank service charges of Rs. 40 will applicable and has to be paid).
• Bank will keep a copy & return 2 copies to the candidates for future references. Among 2 copies, one copy has to send with the application form to IITR and another one is for the candidates.
