ILICAT 2022: ILICAT stands for The Indian Law Institute Common Admission Test commenced by The Indian Law Institute for providing admission to Undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. courses.  The exam will be objective and subjective type. Those who want to appear in ILICAT 2022 examination need to collect important Exam related information such as eligibility criteria, application form, application fee, etc.

ILICAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria:

• To acquire admission in a one-year LLM course at ILI, the candidate must fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned below:
• Candidate must be possessed with LLB Degree with at least 50% marks from any University/Institution which is recognized by Bar Council of India or else a Law Degree from a foreign country with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent grade as per the Association of Indian University (AIU) guidelines will be applicable
• Those who are SC/ ST/ Physically Handicapped must have acquired at least 45% marks according to the marks relaxation given for the reserved categories.
• Candidates belonging to the Kashmiri Migrant category must have acquired at least 40% marks in the qualifying degree examination.

ILICAT 2022 Application Form:

• First register by filling in their personal details, details of the qualifying examination, occupation/experience details, etc
• Upload the application form; enter the latest photograph and signature in the prescribed size.
• Along with the ILI CAT application form, enter/upload a Statement of Purpose (SoP) which should at least 2000 words.
• Submit the application fee of Rs 2, 500 using modes such as Net-banking, Debit Card, Credit card, and E-payment wallets

Exam Pattern:

The given exam pattern will help in getting the idea about the Exam before finally appearing:

For Ph.D. Course: There will be a written test of the duration of 3 hours for those who have not successfully qualified for UGC NET/JRF. The written exam will be consisted of two papers and will take place in the Indian Law Institute.

Syllabus:

The syllabus for the Ph.D. Entrance Test is mentioned below:

There shall be a written test of three hours duration for the candidates who have not qualified UGC NET/JRF. The written test shall consist of two papers and all eligible candidates shall be informed about the Admission Test (either online or offline) well in advance (approximately a fortnight before the actual date of examination) through their emails.

Based on the admission test, the shortlisted candidates will be called Online/on-campus for presenting their Research Proposal and Interview. The candidates belonging to the exempted category will be shortlisted based on the Research Plan

Important to Note: Based on the entrance test, those who are shortlisted will be called for a Presentation of their Research Plan and Interview. The qualified applicants will make a presentation in front of the Admission Committee on the proposed topic of research on the notified date.

The syllabus for For LL.M Course is mentioned below:

The All India Admission Test for seeking admission to one year LL.M course will be commenced by the Indian Law Institute with the aim to test the Aptitude for Research, Legal Reasoning, Comprehensions and Basic Knowledge in various branches of Law and will be commenced in the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. The Shortlisted candidates will then be called for Viva-Voce.

Admit Card:

Download the admit card from the official website by signing in ili.ac.in by using the login credentials. Make sure to check the website of the institute regularly. Other than the online mode, the Admit Card and Roll Number will also be sent via email through the portal. In addition to this, an applicant may also contact on given phone numbers/email ID for further help.

Exam Result:

The result will be announced via the official website or through the Indian Law Institute (ILI) notice board. The merit list comprises the names of the qualified candidates with their marks and rank acquired in the exam. The final selection of the candidates will be based on the consolidated marks and overall rank acquired in all the stages of the selection process. Candidates will be admitted to the applied course is based on the marks acquired and seats availability for the concerned courses in the Institute.

ILICAT 2022 Viva-Voice:

Those who are shortlisted on the basis of the marks acquired in the All India Admission Test will be called for viva-voice commenced at the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. The list will be notified on the official website of the Institution. The final merit list will be prepared and based on the marks attained in the All India Admission Test and viva-voice out of 200 marks. Viva-voice is an important part of the selection procedure and if the candidate fails to appear for viva-voce will not be considered eligible for admission.

Seat Reservation:

The following reservation criteria are as follows:

• 15% seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes
• 7 and a half % seats for Scheduled Tribes.
• 27% seats are reserved for Other Backward Classes (OBC)
• 5% of seats are reserved for Physically Handicapped candidates.
