IMU CET 2023 stands for the Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test. It is organized by the Indian Maritime University.  It is a national-level entrance test conducted once each year to provide admissions into numerous UG & PG courses. The admissions are provided to the candidates qualifying the entrance test. Candidates can seek admission in various courses like in the Marine engineering field. IMU CET 2023 Application Form:

Here are some details about IMU CET Registration 2023. The interested candidates can apply for an application form from May/June 2023. check the details properly before applying for examination to avoid any kind of mistake in the application form:

• The application form for IMU CET will be filled in online mode.
• Visit the official website for registration.
• Select the correct link of the IMU CET application form.
• After that applicants will have to fill in all the necessary details like personal, educational, course, preference, etc.
• Submit the details.
• Upload the scanned documents- photograph and signature in the given format
• The payment of the application fee will be done through online mode only.
• Keep a printout of the filled application form for further communication.

Eligibility Criteria:

All the candidates interested in IMU CET must check their eligibility before filling the application form. Only those candidates fulfilling the criteria must proceed to fill the application form. IMU CET 2023 Eligibility Criteria below for various programmes is given below:

For B.Tech (Marine Engineering)/ B.Sc (Nautical Science)

• Candidates must have passed the 12^th examination from a recognized board.
• Candidates must have passed with minimum 60%marks in PCM & 50% marks in English in class 10^th/12^th
• The candidate’s age should be between 17-25 years as of the school year. There is 5% relaxation for ST/SC.

For B.SC (Ship Building and Repair):

• Candidates must have passed the 12^th examination from a recognized board.
• Candidates must have passed with a minimum of 50%marks in PCM & 50% marks in English in class 10^th/12^th.
• In the case of SC/ST, 5% of relaxation will be given in eligibility marks (not in English).

For M.tech:

• Candidates must have passed in BE/B.Tech in Marine Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ military service design from a recognized board.
• Candidates should have scored a minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying test.

For MBA:

• Candidates should have done a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized board or university.
• Candidates should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in qualifying subjects and 50% marks in English subjects.

Application Fee:

The payment of the application fee can be done online mode through net banking/credit card/debit card.

• For General category students: Rs. 1000/-.
• For SC/ST category students: Rs. 700/-. 

Examination Pattern:

• Exam Mode: Computer Based Exam(online)
• Number of Questions: There will be a total of 200 questions Duration of Exam: 3 Hrs
• Questions Type: MCQ’s (objective-based)
• Marking Scheme: 1 mark for each correct response.
• Negative Marking: There is no negative marking.

Admit Card:

IMU CET 2023 Admit Card is released will be released through online mode. The admit card will be made available to candidates by the third week of August 2023. No candidate will be sent admit cards by post. Admit Card will be containing some personal details (like name, gender, courses opted for, category, etc.).To download the admit card candidates will have to visit the official site www.imu.edu.in. Candidates are required to then enter their User ID and password provided at the time of application form filling to download admit card. It is important to hold the admit card on the day of examination otherwise entry won’t be allowed into the examination hall.

Result:

CET 2023 Result is declared online within the second week of September 2023. The IMU CET 2023 Result will be available in the form of a merit list. IMU will publish the list of candidates who have qualified IMU CET.

Counseling:

• Candidates who can get short-listed can need to register themselves online for a counseling session. The net counsel is control in IMU campuses solely.
• Various campuses can conduct their counsel on an individual basis. Candidates can need to bring their original qualification documents with a fitness certificate.
• Candidates are needed to induce themselves registered for admission to numerous campuses as per their selection. Also, candidates got to transfer their counsel letter pay counsel fees to participate in the counseling session.
• Seats are allotted as per the rank secured by students within the entrance test.
