IPMAT 2022 an aptitude test conducted by IIM Indore for the candidates who want to enrol for the 5-year management training programme. Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) is specially designed for young applicants who can be a part of the entire training program immediately after completing their higher secondary exams. Both bachelors and master’s degree is offered by IPM for their management training courses. To be a part of IPM desiring candidates have to qualify the IPMAT.

IPMAT 2022 Application Form

The IPMAT application form for 2022 will be available from March 2022. The forms will be obtainable only from online mode. So to gain the application forms students have to follow the official website of IIM Indore. Forms must be completed carefully before submission and no rectification will be entertained after the due date of submission. Students need to give different particulars like personal, educational details with valid address information while registering for IPMAT. After the online submission of form is done there is no such requirement to submit the hard copy.

Application Fee:

The application fee for the general candidates is Rs.1400. For reserved categories like SC/ST/PWD the fee for the application is Rs.700. Candidates need to submit this fee in order to avail the application form for IPMAT.

Eligibility Criteria:

IPMAT follows three important criteria for the students to get enrolled with them.

• Age,
• succeeding higher secondary education and
• decent marks

Candidates willing to seat for IPMAT should be within the age limit of 20 years (as on 31^st July 2022). There is  a age relaxation of 5 years for aspirants pertaining to Sc/St/PwD category.

Interested candidates need to qualify their class XII examination from any reputed board in the year 2019 or 2020. Higher secondary appearing candidates of 2022 can also enroll for this course.

Students must have a minimum score of 60% for both class X and XII examinations. A relaxation of 5% is given to the SC/ST/PWD candidates.

IGCSE and IB students are eligible to apply for this course.

Exam Pattern:

IPMAT questions are divided into 3 sections. They are as follows:

• Quantitative Ability (MCQ),
• Short Answer Questions or SA(MCQ) and
• Verbal Ability(MCQ).

IPMAT Indore and IPMAT Rohtak 2022wil have 40 questions in Quantitative Ability,20 for Short Answer Questions and the remaining 40 will be on Verbal Ability. 40 minutes is the time limit for each section. There will be 100 questions carrying 4 marks each which a candidate needs to complete within 2 hours.  With each incorrect answer, 1 mark will be subtracted. There will be no marks deduction for not answering a question. Candidates will be shortlisted for WAT /Written Ability Test and PI / Personal Interview only after they qualify IPMAT.

IPMAT Syllabus:

IIM offers an integrated double-degree program in management studies. IPMAT covers diverse topics under QA and VA. Number System Geometry, Set theory, Data Interpretation, Mensuration, Geometry, Time & Work, Algebra, Speed & Distance, Profit& Loss, Percentage, etc are in the QA section. Under the VA section the syllabus includes Word Jumble, Para Jumble, Complete the Paragraph, Comprehension, Reading, Analogy & Vocabulary, Grammer, Fill in the blanks and so on.

Admit Card:

The admit card for IPMAT will be issued in the first week of May 2022 just before the exams which will commence from the same month. The admit cards can only be downloaded from online mode. There will be no alternatives to avail the hard copy admit cards through post or by any offline method. The admit card will only be issued to the candidates who will successfully complete the application form including fees submission for the application form. Admit cards will be available in the official website of IIM, Indore and IIM, Rohtak. It enables the candidate to sit for the entrance test so candidates must carry it to the examination centre with them. IPMAT admit card will have the candidate’s name, Date of Birth, name of the exam centre, date of admission test and the exam time.

Result and Cut Off:

IPMAT 2022 results will be announced through online mode which will be followed by a WAT and PI rounds. Only the IPMAT successful candidates will get a chance to appear for WAT and PI rounds. The results will be issued in the form of scores on an overall and sectional basis. Candidates who complete all the rounds successfully with decent scores and raking will be eligible to seek admission in IIM. Candidates can refer to their login id on the official website to know their results.

IPMAT cut-off marks differ slightly depending on the category the students belong to.

• General candidates – 40 in Quantitative Aptitude and 100 in Verbal
• NC-OBC – 24 in Quantitative Aptitude and 64 in Verbal Ability
• SC – 16 in Quantitative Aptitude and 48 in Verbal Ability
• ST- 8 in Quantitative Aptitude and 24 in Verbal Ability
• PWD – 8 in Quantitative Aptitude and 24 in Verbal Ability

Answer Key:

The answer key will be disclosed after the exams are conducted. The answer key will be announced official website of IIM. To download the answer key candidates need to go to the official website. By a simple click on the Answer Key candidates can have a full view of the answer key for the examination. Candidates can download the question paper to compare their answers easily.

Students can also register with Nirma University other than IIM Indore with the scorecard of IPMAT for enrolling themselves in their BBA and MBA courses. A different IPMAT is followed by IIM Rohtak for getting admissions in their Management courses.
