ISDI Challenge 2024: Indian School of Design and Innovation (ISDI) proffers admission for several undergraduates, postgraduate, professional, and short-term programmes in the field of design. The admission is provided on the basis of seats and the applicant’s performance in ISDI Challenge. It was founded in 2013 in collaboration with the Parsons School of Design in New York. ISDI offers admission to aspirants in design programmes offered by it on the basis of their performance in the ISDI Challenge.
Eligibility Criteria:
Here are the eligibility criteria to be checked before applying for ISDI Challenge:
- For UG Programmes: If you are looking forward to applying for UG courses, then you must have completed Class XII or have completed 10+2 exam (IGCSE A levels, CBSE, HSC, IBDP, ISC, etc.) or equivalent exam from any discipline including Science/Commerce/Arts. The Upper age limit to apply is 21 years at the time of applying.
- For PG Programmes: Those who are pursuing the degree of graduation or its equivalent in any discipline such as Science, Commerce, Arts may apply for Design & Innovation or Fashion for PG Programmes.
- For Professional Programmes: To be eligible for the professional programmes, applicants must have completed 10+2 at A levels, CBSE, HSC, IBDP, ISC etc or an equivalent exam in any discipline such as Science, Commerce, Arts and possess with a deep interest in Design & Innovation. It is mandatory to have completed Class XII to confirm admission. The admission will be given on the basis of performance in the final exam result.
- For Fashion Styling: Applicants must have completed 10+2 examination at A levels, CBSE, HSC, IBDP, ISC etc or an equivalent examination in streams such as Science, Commerce, and Humanities. Those who are waiting for the result of 10+2 may also apply as admission will be offered to them on a provisional basis.
ISDI Challenge 2024 Admission Process:
The admission procedure for all the courses is the same except a few differences in the professional programme. In the professional courses, applicants are required to appear for a personal interview. Here are the steps:
- Fill the Application Form: Applicants are required to fill the application form along with the SOP (Statement of Purpose) of 300 words on the official website of the college. Fill out the application form with the details such as personal information and other details. Make sure to seal all the documents in an envelope in the name of the applicant and the application number. And once the envelope is ready post it the below-mentioned address:

- Application Fee: Pay the application fee via Demand Draft (DD) by Pay Order. The DD should be drawn in the favor of ISDI and payable at Mumbai. The Demand Draft should be accompanied by the declaration form signed by the candidate and the candidate’s parents/guardians. The Application fee is Rs 3,500.
- Admit Card: Candidates who have paid the application fee and application form will acquire the admit card. It is a mandatory document to be carried to the examination center along with original ID proof, portfolio (only for UG applicants) and curriculum vitae (for PG candidates).
- ISDI Challenge: The ISDI Challenge is according to the course for which applicants have applied. To apply for UG course, applicants are required to submit an online portfolio while for PG courses, applicants are required to submit the PPT and essay.
- Personal Interview: In the next round, applicants will appear for a personal interview on the given time and date.
- Result: The result will be declared as per the given date and time.

Exam Pattern for Under Graduate Courses:
As per the prescribed pattern, applicants are required to submit their portfolio and application number at the email ID [email protected]. The portfolio file size should be 2 MB and include the minimum of 3 and a maximum of 7 pieces in one PDF file. For making portfolio applicants are required to submit any of the below-mentioned concepts:
- Urban space
- Object
- Natural form
- Theme
- Activity
Applicants can select any two concepts and create a visual interpretation in three different original pieces for each concept. Applicants are required to note that each piece must be supported with a brief note. While preparing a port folio, any of the following media can be used:
- Drawing
- Sculpture
- 3D work
- Photography
- Digital images
Marks Distribution:
Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of the answers given in the Multiple Choice Questions. Their attitude and knowledge will be checked. The section is divided into 4 parts:
- General Awareness: 15 Questions for 30 Marks
- Logical Reasoning: 15 Questions for 30 Marks
- Analytical Thinking: 10 Questions for 20 Marks
- Storytelling: 1 Question for 20 Marks
