ISI Admission 2023 is a competitive examination commenced by Indian Statistical Institute. This is a national-level examination that takes place once a year to proffer immense opportunity to the candidates to seek admission into many UG and PG courses. Admission will be given in several courses such as B.Math (Hons.), M.Stat, B.Stat (Hons.), M.Math, MS (QE), MS (QMS), M.Tech, and many other programmes. Candidates need to crack the entrance test to avail of admission on several campuses situated in Tezpur, Chennai, Delhi, and Bengaluru. Candidates are suggested to apply before the last date and become active candidates to appear in the exam.

ISI Admission 2023 Application Form:
- The candidate is required to fill the application form via online mode.
- The Application Form has been re-opened on June 2023.
- Before you apply for the examination, it is important to check the eligibility criteria.
- Those who belong to reserved categories such as ST/SC/OBC – NCL need to upload their caste certificate. However, PWD candidates need to upload their disability certificates.

ISI Admission Fee Details:
Those who belong to the General category (Male) will make a payment of Rs.1250 and the general category (Female) have to pay Rs.750 and Reserved category Applicants will make a payment of Rs.625.
Candidates will make payment of the application fee along with bank charges. The application fee can be easily paid via debit/credit card or net banking. You can also pay through SBI Challan.

Steps To Apply For ISI Admission:
- Visit the official website of ISI i.e, isical.ac.in.
- First, register as a new user to create an account.
- Then, login to the account with the registration details.
- Enter all the details in the Application Form.
- Upload all the required documents.
- Pay the Application Fee.
- Click on the submit button.

ISI 2023 Eligibility Criteria:
Find below the ISI 2023 Eligibility Criteria for B. Stat (Hons) / B.Math (Hons.) PG courses
For B. Stat (Hons) / B. Math (Hons.)
- Candidate must complete their class XII from some recognized board or university.
- The candidate must have successfully cleared class XII with subjects such as Mathematics and English.
- Those who are appearing in class XII can also apply for the examination.
For PG Courses:
- To apply for M.Stat, candidates have successfully passed a three-year Bachelor’s degree or BE/B. Tech degree with Statistics as a subject or B. Math degree from ISI or postgraduate diploma in Statistical Methods and Analytics from ISI.
- To apply for M.Tech (CS), the candidate must have possessed with BE or B. Tech degree or master’s degree in Physics/Electronic Science/ Mathematics/Statistics/ Computer Application/ Computer Science/ Information Technology or its equivalent.
- To apply for M.Math, the candidate must be possessed with the three-year Bachelor’s degree or BE/B. Tech degree with Mathematics as a subject or B. Stat from ISI.
- MS (QE): Candidate must have passed three-year Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and have passed 12th standard exam with Mathematics as a subject.
Exam Pattern:
- Candidate must commence examination through offline mode.
- The question paper will be of a multiple-choice type and descriptive type. The questions will differ as per the courses.
- The question paper will be comprised of two Sections – A and B.
- The candidate needs to complete each section within a duration of 2 hours.
- The Paper will consist of 100 marks.
- There will be a deduction of 1 mark for an incorrect answer.
Syllabus:
- Exam syllabus varies as per the courses selected by candidates. The entrance exam for graduation courses will comprise of questions from level 12th and for post-graduation courses, questions will appear from the syllabus of graduation level.
- For B.Math/ B.Stat course, the syllabus will consist of several topics from the subject of Mathematics-Trigonometry, Algebra, Calculus, & Geometry.
- For the M.Stat course, the syllabus will consist of several topics from subjects of Mathematics and Statistics.
Admit Card:
- Candidates can avail of Admit Card from the official website to download. Candidates can download the admit card by filling in the user name and password. The admit card will comprise information such as date, time, exam venue, candidate’s photograph, and signature with all instructions for the examination.
- Candidates are required to carry the admit card to the exam center. This is an important document that a candidate needs to carry along with them at the exam center.
Answer Key:
Exam Answer Key will be released after the exam gets over. The answer key can be easily accessed by candidates via online mode. Candidates can access the answer key by filling in the user name and password after clicking on the link needed for download.
The answer key can be released via paper code-wise in the series of odd and even. Candidates can download the answer key and go through the answers from the answer key. If the candidate wishes to object to any answer, he/she can object by filling the objection form.
ISI Entrance Exam 2023 Result:
The exam result can be declared in July 2023. Candidates can download the result by filling in user names and passwords online. The result comprises marks and ranks attained by the candidates in the written test.
Those who qualify for the test will be called for the interview process.
The merit list will be prepared based on marks attained by the candidates and the candidates will be then called for the process of the interview in the order of merit. Candidates are required to attain a printout of the exam result for further use in the admission process.
Indian Statistical Institute Interview:
ISI 2023 Interview will be organized for candidates who are shortlisted in the merit list which is released online. During the interview, questions will be asked from the syllabus and personal questions will be asked. A panel will commence the interview of the candidates. Entirely based on marks attained by the candidates in written and interview, a merit list will be created for selecting the candidates. Those who are selected can apply for the admission process. Candidates need to download the interview letter online.
Indian Statistical Institute Admission Procedure:
The admission procedure will be based on the merit list which will be created according to the marks acquired by the candidates in the entrance examination and interview. A list of the candidates for admission will be published online. In case, if the candidate is found that he/she is not satisfying the eligibility criteria then the candidature will get canceled. Students are required to submit all necessary documents for verification purposes. In case, the candidate is failed during programme or on any disciplinary ground then, the candidate will not be eligible for the course again. The reservation system will also be followed by the institution for the reserved category.
