JIPMER PG 2023 (INI CET): The INI CET is replacing JIPMER PG 2023, AIIMS PG, PGIMER, NIMHANS entrance exams. JIPMER PG 2023 entrance examination will entirely be organized by the Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER). This national-level entrance exam will take place in two sessions- January and July. JIPMER is a known medical institution of India that came into being in 1823 under the Government of India. JIPMER PG 2023 Application Form:
- The JIPMER PG 2023 Registration Application form will be easily available via online mode.
- Read all the instructions carefully mentioned in the prospectus prior to you fill the application form.
- The application procedure for the January session will begin in September and will get finished by October. For the July session, the application process will start in the 4th week of January month and will end by the first week of April 2023.
- The application process comprises the following steps such as-Online registration, filling of the application form, uploading of the images, making the choice of test center and city, payment of application fee, and print of the application form.
- Make sure that you do not make any request for a change in the details already entered in the application form once you submit the form.
JIPMER PG 2023 Registration Fee:
- Submit application form fee via online mode. You can make payment via several modes such as credit card, debit card, or net banking.
- The payment of the application fee for different categories is as follows:

Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidate can be Indian, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), or NRI if looking forward to applying for JIPMER PG 2023.
- Candidate must have a degree of MBBS or some other equivalent degree recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
- Those who are applying must be possessed with at least 55% marks and for reserved categories (ST/SC), it is 50% marks
- Candidate must have successfully completed an internship/ practical training/ compulsory rotating on or prior to 31/12/2023. However, those who have completed the internship after this date will not be permitted to apply for the January session.
- Those who have completed their MD/MS degree in any of the subjects from any institution will not be eligible for admission into JIPMER.
Exam Pattern:
- The exam will be commenced in the online mode (CBT).
- The time duration of the exam will be 3 hours for MS/ MD/ and for DM/M.Ch, the paper will be of 90 minutes.
- The examination will be commenced in the English language only.
- The question paper will consist of objective-type questions (MCQ).
- Overall, there will be 250 questions in the test for MD/ MS and for M.Ch/ DM with 100 questions.
- The candidate will receive 4 marks for every correct answer.
- There will be a deduction of 1 mark for every incorrect answer.
- A topic such as Clinical Science will consist of 150 questions.
- Basic Clinical Science will have 100 questions.

Syllabus:
The questions for the paper will appear from topics such as Basic Clinical Sciences and Clinical Sciences.
Basic Clinical Science consisted of topics like Physiology, Pathology, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Micro Biology, Forensic Medicine, Toxicology, and Pharmacology.
Clinical Sciences consisted of topics such as Gynecology, Surgery, Medicine, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Anesthesiology, Community Medicine, ENT, Radiotherapy, Nuclear Medicine, Psychiatry, Radio-Diagnosis, Blood Transfusion Medicine, Dermatology, Pulmonary Medicine, and Emergency Medicine.
Exam Centers:
This examination will be commenced in 10 different cities of India such as Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, New Delhi, Puducherry, Trivandrum, and Vijayawada. The candidate is supposed to choose any three exam cities while making the choice of exam center. Usually, candidates will fetch the exam center as per the first preference depending on local conditions.
Admit Card:
Those who have successfully completed the application procedure will receive the admit card. The admit card will consist of info like name & date of birth of the candidate, photograph and signature image, examination city, time, roll number, etc. In order to download the admit card, enter their login credentials.
Candidates are requested to carry the admit card on the examination day. The candidate is not permitted to attend the exam without Admit Card. Also, carry, ID proof (Voter ID card, Bank Passbook, Driving License, and Photograph along with the admit card in order to enter the examination hall.
Steps to Download JIPMER PG 2023 Admit card:
- Visit the official website of JIPMER PG.
- On the homepage click on the link mentioned as ‘Download JIPMER PG 2023 Admit card’.
- A new page will open enter the application number and other details.
- Submit the details and the admit card will be displayed on the screen.
- Candidates can download the admit card and take a printout of it.
Result:
The JIPMER PG 2023 Examination result has been announced on December 2023 for DM. M.Ch courses. and on the basis of the performance in the entrance test, a merit list will be created by the exam conducting board. The result will be published online mode. The candidate needs to enter login credentials such as roll number & password to get a glimpse of the result.
A separate merit list will be created for every category. However, any re-checking or re-evaluation request will not be given to the candidate. The minimum percentile to be secured for various categories will be as follows:
- 50% for OCI, NRI, UR, and sponsored candidates
- 45% for General- OPH candidates
- 45% for SC, ST, and OBC-OPH category candidates
Counselling:
- The candidate needs to appear for counselling on a fixed date/day/time.
- In counselling process, the candidate’s biometric fingerprint and image verification will take place.
- Those who are selected need to go through the medical examination and verification procedure. During the verification, candidates will carry their following certificates:
