JK SET 2023 Eligibility Criteria:
Those who are willing to apply for JK SET 2023 need to first check the eligibility this exam demands. Here are the important points under academic requirement,
Academic Qualification:
- Applicant must have completed their UG exam from some recognized university.
- Those who have completed their Ph.D. will be given a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e. from 55% to 50%) in masters for appearing in JKSET.
- Candidates may also get the relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks in masters for appearing in JKSET.
- Applicants must have appeared for the subject of their post-graduation only.
- The candidates belonging to the general category must have attained at least 55% marks and reserved category applicants must have attained at least 50% marks in their last qualifying exams.
- Students appearing or have appeared for the Master’s degree examination may also apply for the exam.
Exemption from the test
- Those who have cleared NET/SLET/UGC/CSIR JRF exams are not required to give the SET exam.

JK SET 2023 Application Form:
If you are eligible to apply then use the official website of the University of Jammu and Kashmir to apply. Here is the process to apply:
- In the JK SET 2023 application form, fill all the personal, educational, and qualification details. Make sure to fill the preferable course and exam center as well.
- After this, upload the latest passport size photograph and signature.
- Pay the online application fee
- Submit the application form and take a printout for further needs
Application Fee:
The Application fee for JK SET 2023 is given below:
- General: Rs. 1100
- OBC-NCL and Other reserved categories: Rs. 880
- SC/ST/Transgender/ PwD: 40%
- Disability: Rs. 660
JK SET 2023 Exam Pattern:
Those who are appearing for the JK SET examination need to check the examination pattern. This will create ease for you to prepare for the test.
- There will be three papers
- The Paper will consist of Objective type questions.
Marks Distribution:
- Paper 1: 50 Questions to be attempted out of 60. This paper will be for 100 marks and the candidate will get 1 hour 15 minutes to complete Paper 1.
- Paper 2: Candidate need to all 50 questions. This paper will also be for 100 marks and to be completed in 75 minutes
- Paper 3: This paper comprises 75 Compulsory questions with 150 marks to be completed in 150 minutes.
The candidate will be awarded +2 marks for every correct answer but no penalty for an incorrect answer.
Admit Card:
After completing the application process, the University of Kashmir will release the admit card via set.uok.edu.in. Download the admit cards using the JK SET roll number and password. It is mandatory to carry the admit card of JK SET along with the photo identity proof to the examination center. The admit card consisted of information about exams such as exam venue, exam center reporting time/day/date, instructions, etc.
Answer Key:
The release of the Answer Key will also take place in the online mode. Check the answer key to get an idea of how much you can score on the test.
Exam Result:
Jammu and Kashmir University will release the exam result a few later after the completion of the test. Based on the result of JK SET 2023, the university will dispatch the e-certificate and scorecards for qualified candidates. Both e-certificate and scorecard are easy to download in the online mode.
