JNU CEE M.Tech 2024 Application Form:

The Application Form shall be available from the first week of February 2024, both ‘online’ and ‘offline’ (only by post). The last date of the offline submission of the JNU Entrance Test is the second week of March 2024. The last date of online submission of the application is the third week of March 2024. Admit Card shall be issued on the second week of May and the exam will be held in the third week of May 2024. The result shall be declared in the last week of June 2024.

The candidates must use a black ink pen while filling the offline application form. The parent’s/guardian’s name and the candidate’s date of birth should be exactly as mentioned in the 10^th Examination/first Board Exam/Pre-University Examination Certificate. All the information given in the application form must be written in capital letters.

There will be a Category code that should be selected appropriately by the candidates. The candidates must fill the center code and course code carefully. The exact dimensions must be adhered to in the case of signature and photograph attachment. A declaration has to be signed by the candidate at the end of the application.

For the offline application, the form must be refolded as it was originally folded in the issuing stage and sent in the attached envelope to the following address:

Candidates are advised to keep a Xerox copy of the filled up application form for reference.

Application Fee:

The Application process gets over after paying the Application Fee. Check the category wise Application fee details:

General and OBC categories:

• One subject: Rs. 220/-
• Two subjects: Rs.430/-
• Three subjects: Rs.600/-

SC/ST/PH/BPL category:

• One subject: Rs. 110/-
• Two subjects: Rs.215/-
• Three subjects: Rs.300/-

Note: Those who are paying offline needs to pay Rs 60/- as additional bank charges and transaction charges. Make sure to collect the print of the E-Slip of State Bank of India after submitting the application form and fee.

Eligibility Criteria:

For M.Tech. (Computer Science & Technology):

A Master’s degree in any branch of Science or bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering or Master of Computer Application (MCA) with a minimum of 55% marks.

M.TechBio-Technologylogy:

Candidates must have passed in the qualifying Exam on or after 2017 including those who are appearing in their final exams. The candidates must have passed one of the following:

Bio-Technology, Life Sciences, Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, Biophysics, Microbial Genetics & Bioinformatics or they must have passed B.Tech/B.E. (in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Industrial Biotechnology, Leather technology, Chemistry/Biotechnology, Biomedical Technology, Pharmacy, or, Chemical Technology).

Selection Process:

Selection of eligible candidates for admission depends solely on merit, as exhibited in the merit list of the successful candidates. The result of the examination shall be declared in the last week of June 2024. The merit list (without viva-voce) shall be declared in the first week of July 2024. The successful candidates are then called for viva-voce in the third week of July 2024. Publication of merit list will be done in the last week of July 2024.

Candidates can register themselves on the basis of their choice of courses on different dates. Candidates then have to confirm their seats by paying the admission fee of Rs.5000/- (Rs.2500 in the case of belonging to SC/ST/PH) in the form of a non-refundable Demand Draft. The last date of admission/registration is the second week of August 2024.

Counselling Process :

Counselling process does not exist in JNU. After the declaration of result, a separate merit list is published for admission.
