The entire admission procedure and eligibility will be based on scores attained in class X and class marks via a merit-based admission system. The admission process will be commenced by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Karnataka. The candidates will seek admission for three years in a Polytechnic for attaining diploma courses in several streams/trade in the state of Karnataka. The applicants will attain admission in various Government and Private Colleges/Institutions located in the state of Karnataka.

  • The Karnataka Polytechnic 2023 Application Form can be attained via online mode using the official website.
  • The form will be made available for the eligible candidates in the month of May.
  • Fill the application form and submit by the third week of May 2023.

  • Make a payment of the application fee using a Credit Card/ Net banking/ Debit card etc.
  • Those who are paying the application fee through the offline mode can make payment via Challan from the website of the DTE, Karnataka at any branch of the SBI.
  • General category candidates will pay Rs 100/-
  • Reserved category candidates will pay Rs 50/-

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidate must have successfully cleared class X from the recognized Board.
  • The applicant must be a citizen of India.
  • It is important that the candidate must have attained at least 35% marks in class X.
  • The candidate must be fit in all aspects of health.
  • The candidate must have taken subjects such as Science and Mathematics in the qualifying exam.

Karnataka Polytechnic Admission 2023 Merit List:

The merit list will be released through the official website. The merit list will be declared via online mode by the DTE, Karnataka. The merit list will be prepared by the Department of Technical Education, Karnataka. On the basis of the marks attained in class X, the merit list will be prepared and send across. You will be able to find this crucial list by the month of May. The merit list will be prepared for different categories. After going through the merit list, report for the counseling on the basis of the marks attained in the Merit List and Rank achieved.

Seat Reservation:

  • Physical Disabled students will get seat reservations of 3%
  • Kannada Medium will get a seat reservation of 5%
  • Supernumerary Quota for 5%
  • Rural students will get seat reservations of 25%
  • Girls students will get a seat reservation of 30%

Counselling:

Those who have their names on the merit list will be called for counseling. Usually, the counseling starts at the end of June month. It is important to carry original and photocopy documents on the day of counseling. The list of documents needed are as follows:

  • Original TC memo/ NOC from past institute/ college
  • Class X passing certificate/ mark sheet
  • SSLC or equivalent mark sheet
  • Character certificate
  • Few Latest passport size photographs
  • Original transfer certificate
  • Caste certificate
