Karnataka TET 2022 is an important entrance examination for selecting the candidates on the job of a teacher. Karnataka TET stands for the Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test managed by the School Education Board of Karnataka so that applicable applicants can seek a job in government private schools within the Karnataka State. Only interested applicants can fill the Application Form via online mode to avail of the job of a teacher in Karnataka. It is crucial to acquire all details such as important dates, info about Application Form, Eligibility Criteria, mode of application, application fee, etc.
Eligibility Criteria:
The minimum age to apply will be 18 years and maximum age should be between 35 to 40 years. Those who belong to reserved category will get age relaxation in upper age limit.
Educational Qualification for Primary Teachers (Classes I to V):
Those who wish to apply for primary classes teaching must have done class XII successfully with minimum 50% marks and 45% for reserved categories. Applying candidate must have successfully cleared (D.EI. Ed) or Bachelor of Elementary Education with minimum 45 – 50% marks. In addition to this, those who are applying in the final-year of D.EI.Ed/ Bachelor of Elementary Education can also apply for the exam.
Educational Qualification for Upper Primary Teachers (Class VI to VIII):
In order to apply for Upper Primary Teachers, the minimum qualification of the candidate should be graduation (B. Tech/ B. A/ B.Sc. / B. Com/ BBA, etc.) with at least 45% – 50% marks. Those who are applying must pass a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI. Ed) / Bachelor of Education (B. Ed). Those who are pursuing final-year D.EI. Ed/ B.Ed may also appear for Karnataka TET.

Karnataka TET 2022 Application Form:
Make sure to fill the application form on time. Submit the application form on time. The exam conducting authority will issue application form on the official website, so collect application form using online mode. Once you fill all the details in the application form, submit it. Keep the print out of the application form with you for further reference. After submitting the application form successfully, candidates will get an acknowledgment SMS along with an email consisted of application number and passcode to apply online. Later, candidates can apply online for provisional admission using the same application number and passcode. Along with the application form, make sure to upload all the documents in JPEG format.
Application Fee:
- For General category candidates (2A, 2B, 3A) payment for Paper, I or II will be Rs 700/- and for Paper I and Paper II will be Rs 1000/-
- For SC/ST/CI only, payment for Paper I or II will be Rs 350/- and for Paper I and Paper II will be Rs 500/-
- However, Differently Abled Candidates will be exempted for making payment of application fee.
Exam Pattern:
- Paper I will be for subject Child Development and Pedagogy will have consisted of 30 questions for 30 marks.
- In Language I, there will be 30 questions for 30 marks.
- In Language II, there will be 30 questions for 30 marks.
- In Mathematics, there will be 30 questions for 30 marks.
- Environmental Studies will also have 30 questions for 30 marks.
- Paper-II will be for subject Child Development and Pedagogy will be consisted of 30 questions for 30 marks.
- Language I will also have 30 questions for 30 marks.
- Language II will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
- Mathematics and Science (for Maths-Science Teacher)/ Social Science (for Social Teacher) will consist of 60 questions for 60 marks.

Child Development and Pedagogy will cover topics such as –
- The concept of development and its relationship with learning,
- Formulating appropriate questions for assessing readiness levels of learners; for enhancing learning and critical thinking in the classroom and for assessing learner achievement
- Principles of the development of children
- Evaluation: perspective and practice
- Influence of Heredity & Environment
- The distinction between Assessment for learning and assessment of learning; School-Based Assessment, Continuous & Comprehensive
- Socialization processes: Social world & children (Teacher, Parents, Peers)
- Individual differences among learners, understanding differences based on diversity of language, caste, gender, community, religion, etc
- Piaget, Kohlberg, and Vygotsky constructs and critical perspectives. Concepts of child-centered and progressive education
- Gender as a social construct; gender roles, gender-bias and educational practice

Exam Pattern:
- Karnataka TET 2022 is an online Exam.
- The candidate will receive 180 minutes to complete the paper.
- There will be Objective Type Questions in paper
- Overall, there will be 150 questions in the paper.
- The candidate will get 1 mark for every correct answer and there will be no negative marking.
Admit card:
Collect exam admit card from the official website. You can attain the admit card in the month of March. Download the admit card by using details like Registration Number and Date of Birth. Check all the details given in the card and then download the admit card. Take a copy of the admit card and ensure to carry it along with you to the exam centre.
Score Card:
The scorecard and result will be announced on the fixed date. Scorecard will consist of information such as Admit Card Number, Registration Number, Candidate’s Name, Father’s Name, Gender, Category, Status of Area (Local/Non-local), Combined Score in Karnataka TET, etc.
Exam Result:
To check the result, go to the official website and sign in using your roll number and date of birth. The result will be announced after a month. Keep a print out of the result for further help.
