Steps to Apply for KCET 2023:
- Visit the Official website of KCET 2023.
- Then click on the given link for registration.
- Now enter your basic details i.e. name, mobile number, date of birth, email ID, etc.
- Now click on the ‘login’ button and enter your login credentials i.e. application number and password.
- Then, fill in details including personal, academic i.e. address, parent’s details, and then click the submit button.
- Now upload your recent passport size photograph, signature, and left thumb impression in the given specific format.
- Click on the submit button.
- Now submit the application fee through e- challan.
- Take the printout of the filled application form.
Karnataka CET 2023 Eligibility Criteria:
Karnataka CET 2023 Eligibility criteria vary from one course to another, read below:
For Engineering and Architecture Courses:
- The candidate needs to have completed the 2nd PUC/12th or equivalent examination from some recognized board.
- Candidates are required to have passed an examination with subjects such as Physics and Maths as main subjects and English as a language subject.
- It is mandatory to have scored a minimum possible 45% marks. However, the valid percentage for SC and ST category candidates should be 40% in Maths and Physics along with one subject such as Biology/Electronics/ Biotechnology/Chemistry/Computer science.
- Those who are appearing can also apply for the examination.
- For the architecture course, make sure for having a valid NATA scorecard.
For Pharmacy/Science Courses:
- Candidates need to have completed 2nd PUC/12th or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology along with English as the main language subject.
- Candidates are required to have attained at least 50% marks and 40% for those who belong to SC and ST category in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology group.
- Those who are appearing can also apply for the exam.
Exam Pattern:
- The examination will appear in offline mode.
- All the questions will be based on Multiple Choice formats.
- There will be 60 questions from each section.
- The time duration of the examination will be 5 hours and 20 minutes. Each section is divided into 80 minutes.
- For every correct answer, one mark will be awarded but no negative marking like process goes here.
- Physics consisted of 60 questions, 80 minutes duration.
- Chemistry consisted of 60 questions, 80 minutes of time duration.
- Mathematics/Biology consisted of 60 questions within 80 minutes of time duration.
- Kannada (in case) consisted of 50 that need to be attempted in 80minutes of time duration.

KCET Syllabus:
The syllabus of the examination is based on PUC 1st and 2nd described via the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka State. If you are applying for Pharmacy then it consisted of three different subjects as Physics, Biology, and Chemistry. If applying for Engineering, then the candidate needs to prepare for subjects such as Chemistry, Maths, and Physics.
Admit Card:
- Get the admit card from the online mode using the main website.
- The release of the admit card will be in April.
- The admit card is an important document to carry along as it consisted of personal details and other info as well.
- You will not allow entering the exam center if admit card is not carried along with you.
Result Date:
The outcome of the results will take place in May. You can avail all the info connected to the results via online mode. Enter the registration number for seeking the results. Take a printout of the results for further reference. The release of the cut-off will be provided just after the result announcement.
KCET Counselling 2023:
- The process of counseling will be announced in June.
- Those who are shortlisted will be given a call for the counseling process based on the merit list in the entrance test.
- During counseling, document verification is done in the counseling center. Candidates are required to report personally for this process.
- The seat allotment is done based on the scores attained in the entrance test, seat availability, as well as choices filled.
- If one is happy with the seat allotment then one can attend the counseling process.
