Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission 2023-23 Registration:

  • If seats are available for a specific class, then registration is possible.
  • Registration forms are possible to avail at the beginning of the academic year.
  • Registration forms need to be submitted to the respective KVS schools before the last date for submission and forms should be completed.

KVS Application Form 2023 for class 1st:

The KVS Admission 2021 Application form will be released online mode for class 1st & for class 2nd to 8th, the application form will be released offline mode. Here are the steps to apply for KVS Admission 2023 for class 1st.

  • First, visit the Official Website Kendriya Vidyalayawww.kvs.ac.in
  • On the homepage, click on the Announcements Section.
  • There, press the Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Form 2023 link
  • Select the class.
  • Fill out the application form along with valid details.
  • Then upload photo & signature.
  • Click on submission.
  • Make sure to take the printout of the application form.
  • Ensure to attach required documents.
  • Then submit to the campus of Kendriya Vidyalaya.

Steps to register for Class 2nd to class 8th:

  • Visit the Kendriya Vidyalaya in which you want to enroll your children for admission.
  • Then, collect the application forms from the KV School.
  • Fill in all the required details in the form and submit.
  • After the release of the KVS Admissions list, Parents can check the admission status at the respective KV notice board.

For Class I:

Age proof certificate or birth certificate which is only and only issued by the authority to register births

For Other Classes:

  • The date of birth will be accepted along with the recorded transfer certificate which is issued by the school recognized by the State Education Department.
  • There will be the return of the original Date of Birth to the parent after verification is done.
  • Admissions till Class VIII will be granted with no school transfer certificate which is provided to the child eligible and the birth certificate issued by a Government body or it may be the affidavit.
  • There will be the availability of the certificate of relationship for grandchildren of the Honorable Members of Parliament, PSU Employees, and KVS employees.
  • Also, ST/EWS/ SC/OBC and BPL categories candidates need to produce the required certificate issued by the state or even by the union government.
  • Handicapped or physically challenged candidates need to produce the certificate from a civil surgeon or can be by the rehabilitation center.
  • Make sure to provide the certificate of retirement for uniformed Defense personnel if required
  • Proof of Residence is a must

KVs Admission 2023 Reservation of Seats:

Economically weaker section of Society or EWS  25%
Scheduled Caste or SC- 15%
Scheduled Tribe or ST- 7.5%
Differently Abled Children – 3%

Kendriya Vidyalaya 2023 Selection Process:

For Class I:

  • From the available seats of fresh admission, there will be the availability of 15 percent for SC category candidates and 7.5 % will be reserved for SC/ST category candidates.
  • The admission for class 1st will be divided into two phases.
  • In case of shortfall in the seats which are reserved for SC and ST category candidates, if any of them be admitted SC/ST applicants.

Neighborhood or Resident Proof:

  • Proof of residence is mandatory to produce by all applicants. However, if you fail to provide residence proof, admission will not be denied at all.
  • A self-declaration needs to be produced by the parent which is all about distance is also accepted to this effect.
  • To monitor a system of Draw of Lots for Class I, every Kendriya Vidyalaya will create a committee.
  • The same would go for other classes wherever such a stage comes up when candidates of a specific category or having the same number of transfers can’t be managed against the number of seats available.

For Class II to Class VIII:

  • The admission test will not take place from classes II to VIII.
  • The admission will be granted based on the Priority category system
  • There will be a lottery system in each category comprises of a single girl child quota. (Class VI Onwards), in case the number of candidates is more than the number of available seats

For Class IX:

  • Admission will be granted in the proper sequence of priority categories, as per merit.
  • For seeking admission to Class IX, there will be a commencement of the admission test and then a merit list will be prepared for every category of the priority separately.

For Class XI:

  • Admission to Class XII in various streams such as Humanities, Commerce as well as Science will be based on the merit list.
  • The merit list will also be prepared as the CGPA produced by the student in Class X.
  • The class strength will be 40 per stream.

For Class X & XII:

  • To seek admission to classes 10 and 12 in Kendriya Vidyalaya other students who are not from KV will be entertained subject as per the availability of vacancies. In case, if the average strength in class 10 or 12 is less than 40, then the Deputy Commissioner of the Region concerned KVs will be considered for admission to classes10 & 12.

This May Change in The Following Situations:

  • For class X, the candidate must have acquired not less than 6.5 CGPA in class IX.
  • For class XII, the candidate must have acquired not less than 55% marks in the class XI examination.
  • The candidate must be in the same course of studies which is in the CBSE affiliated school.
  • The combination of subjects selected by the candidate should be easily available in Kendriya Vidyalayas.

Priorities Will Be Given based on a Category:

Category I:

  • The child whose parents are ex-servicemen
  • A child whose parents are into transferable and non-transferable central government employees
  • Children of foreign national officials, who visit on deputation or transfer to India on invitation by Govt. of India.

Category II:

  • Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of Autonomous Bodies/ Institute of Higher Learning of the Government of India/ Public Sector Undertaking

Category III:

  • Children of transferable and non-transferable State Government employees

Category IV:

  • Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of Autonomous Bodies/ Institute of Higher Learning of the Government of India/ Public Sector Undertaking

Category V:

  • Children from some other category consisted of children of foreign nationals who are situated in India because of work or some personal reasons.
  • In case, there are no Indian Nationals waitlisted for admission, there the children of Foreign Nationals will be considered.

Merit list:

  • Visit the official website of KVS Admissions 2023.
  • Then, click on the “Check Application Status” link available on the homepage.
  • Registered users can sign in using Login Code, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Captcha Code.
  • After login, the status of admission of your kid will be displayed on the screen.
