The seat pattern is divided into, merit seats, merit seats with higher fees, management seats, and management seats in self-financing programs. The merit seats are available in all the Government/Aided Polytechnic Colleges. The candidates are admitted into various Polytechnic colleges following the Centralized Allotment Process system(or the CAP system). Candidates can apply to any number of districts and institutes and have to pay the fee accordingly.

Kerala Polytechnic 2024 Application Forms are available online at polyadmission.org in the first week of June 2024 (tentatively). The submission of online applications and the personal submission of applications at the respective colleges in different districts must be completed within the given deadline (third week of June, until 4:00 PM). The candidate is required to click the “online submission” link and proceed to give the correct details in the application form. The options of colleges and institutes in the order of preference has to be given by the candidate at this juncture. Candidates who do not have an internet facility may make use of the help desks available at the Polytechnic colleges free of cost.
The candidate after completing the application form must click the submit button. The candidate must take the printout of the application form only after being allotted the application number, and after successful submission. This application form along with required certificates for proof of the qualifying examination, residence, and quota certificates, is then submitted at any of the Polytechnic College by paying the application fee of Rs 100(for the unreserved category) to the Principal of the Polytechnic college. A candidate may apply to any number of districts by paying an additional fee of Rs 100 per district which is paid at the Polytechnic College(in the respective district) where the application is being submitted.
The candidate must be an Indian citizen and a native of Kerala and should have passed the qualifying examination from an Institute in Kerala. The candidate must have passed SSLC/ THSLC or any other equivalent examination.
The applicants will get the grades as per the merit acquired in SSLC/THSLC. Grade points 3-9 will be given the award points as per the grade and percentage attained in the qualifying exam. The calculation of the Weighted Grade Point Averages will be for two streams applied into. And the Total Grade Point Average or TGPA will be the addition of two Weighted Grade Point Averages. Now, the TPGA for a stream is calculated by adding the bonus point or penalized for a point as per the rules. The rank list will be calculated from the Index Score of every candidate will be given towards the end of June month.
