KTET 2022 Application Form:
- Go to the official website for availing applications form, Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test.
- Log in to the official website and collect the application form.
- Use the login ID and fill out the application form. Fill in all the desired details within the application form carefully and completely.
- Submit the application form and ensure to check the details mentioned correctly.
- Make a payment of the application form via modes such as credit/debit card, web banking, or another mode of payment by challan.
- Take a print of the application form before the final submission.
Application Fee:
Candidates need to pay Rs.500/- as application fee and Rs.250/- for those belonging to SC/ST category.

Steps to fill the KTET 2022 Application Form:
- Visit the official website of KTET – ktet.kerala.gov.in
- On the homepage, click on the “New Registration”
- Fill in all the personal details such as the candidate’s full name, contact number, email ID, gender, religion, caste, exam center preference, communication address, details of educational qualification, etc.
- Now, upload the scanned copy of the candidate’s passport size colored photograph in JPEG as per the specification.
- Then click on Save and submit the form after you review the entire details provided.
- At last, Pay the application fee online mode via Debit Card/Credit Card or Net banking.
- Take the printout of the filled KTET 2022 application form for future reference.

Eligibility Criteria:
Eligibility Criteria for Class I (Lower Primary):
- Applicant must have done Higher Secondary or it’s equivalent with a minimum of 45%. In addition to this, candidates must have 2 years’ Trained Teacher’ Certificate (TTC) commenced by Board of Examination, Government of Kerala or it’s equivalent OR same with at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor of elementary education (B.El.Ed.)
OR
- Those who have successfully completed Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least45% marks and a 2-year diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), rules 2002. OR the same examination with at least 50% marks and a 2-year diploma in Education (Special Education)
- There will be a proviso of relaxation of 3% to those belonging to the OBC & OEC category. Also there will be a relaxation of 5% in qualifying marks for those belonging to SC/ST and otherwise abled classes.
Eligibility Criteria for Class II (Upper Primary):
- The applicant must have successfully completed a BA/ B.Sc./ B.Com. and 2-year certification in Elementary Education/Trained Teachers’ Certificate (TTC) commenced by Board of Examination, Government of Kerala or it’s equivalent. OR
- BA/B.Sc/ B.Com with minimum 45% marks and one year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with NCTE rules issued from time to time in this regard. OR
- Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary it’s equivalent with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed or B.Sc.Ed or a similar exam with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Education (B.El.Ed.) OR
- There will be a relaxation of 3% within the minimum qualifying marks for OBC & OEC candidates and 5% for SC/ST and differently-abled classes.
Eligibility Criteria for class III (High School):
- Applicant must have done BA/BSc/B.Com with at least 45% marks and possessed with a B.Ed. Degree within the subject involved from any one of the universities located in Kerala or from some other equivalent recognized university.
- For subjects such as Botany and Zoological Science, if the candidate is possessed with MSC.Ed. Degree in Bioscience from any of the Regional Institutions of Education with minimum 50% marks may apply.
- For Arithmetic, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Biological science, if the candidate is possessed with MSC.Ed.degree within the subject involved from one amongst the Regional Institutes of Education sponsored by NCERT with at least 50% marks may apply.
Exam Pattern:
Exam Pattern for Category I (Lower Primary):
- Child Development and Pedagogy will have 30 questions for 30 marks
- Mathematics will have 30 questions for 30 marks
- The language I include Malayalam/ Tamil/ Kannada which will have 30 questions for 30 marks
- Environmental Studies will have 30 questions for 30 marks
- Language II-English/Arabic* 30 questions for 30 marks
Exam Pattern for Category II (Upper Primary):
- Child Development and Pedagogy will have 30 questions for 30 marks
- Language I-Malayalam/Tamil/ Kannada/English will have 30 questions for 30 marks
- Language II- (Other than LanguageI) Malayalam/English will have 30 questions for 30 marks
- For Mathematics and Science teachers or Social Science teachers, questions will be 60 in number for 1 mark each.
Exam Pattern for Category III (High School):
- Theories of Learning and Teaching Aptitude will have 40 questions for 40 marks.
- Subject-specific Areas will have 80 questions for 80 marks.
- Language such as Malayalam/English/Tamil/ Kannada will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
Exam Pattern for Category IV (Upper Primary):
- Child Development, Pedagogy & Teacher Aptitude will have 30 questions for 30 marks.
- Subjects specific paper (Content & Pedagogy) will have 80 questions for 80 marks.
- Language Malayalam/English/Tamil/Kannada will have 40 questions for 40 marks.
Admit Card:
Admit card for Kerala TET 2022 will be released from the official website. Those who have successfully submitted the application form will able to collect the admit card. To collect your admit card, use the application ID and application number. Check you admit card carefully and in case of any discrepancy contact with the exam conducting authority.
Take a print of the admit card as it is an essential document to be carried along to the exam center. This card comprises information such as name, address, exam day/date/time/venue, etc. The candidate is not permitted to enter the examination hall without this card.
Answer Key:
The official answer key will be provided to the official website. The answer key will be released a few days after the exam gets over. This key helps you to avail of an idea about how many answers can be correct and how many can be incorrect. You will get an idea about the scores.
Exam Result:
The examination result will be announced a few days after the exam gets over. The result includes the names of the candidates and marks attained in the written exam. It is important for candidates to acquire at least 60% marks to clear KTET 2022 exam.
Selection Process:
The selection process is simple and quick. Those who successfully attain the qualifying marks in Kerala TET 2022 will be selected and will be provided with the job as a teacher in government or private schools. For the purpose of choice, candidates need to qualify the entrance test and thus need to appear for personal interview which will be the final round of selection method. Shortlisted candidates will also be asked to give a demo of teaching which will help educational authorities to decide the appointment.
