KLEE 2022: Kerala Law Entrance Examination or KLEE is a state level examination that is conducted by the commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE) for admission to the five years integrated LLB course or a three-year LLB or an LLM course. This entrance examination is conducted online and it is held across different test centers in Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur, and Kozhikode.

KLEE 2022 Application Form:

If the candidates are interested in applying for this course, they must apply online by getting on the website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. The candidates must keep a copy of the application form for future reference. To fill up the application form, the candidate will have to follow the steps given below:

  • The candidate will first have to log in to the official website of the commissioner of entrance examination
  • Then the candidate will have to register by putting in all the relevant details
  • Once the registration is done, the candidates will get a confirmed application number
  • To fill out the application form, the candidate will have to put in the application number.
  • You will have to fill in the necessary details including the name, DOB, gender, address, academic qualification, category, etc.
  • The candidate must upload their necessary documents in the form and the form will include a photograph, signature, and other documents in the format mentioned. The documents that the candidate will require are passport-size colored photographs varying between 10 to 30 KB of 150×200 pixels. The candidate will also have to upload a scanned copy of the signature of not more than 30 Kb. the signature has to be either in blue or black ink. This has to be in JPEG format. The candidates will have to upload the documents in PDF format only and the size cannot be more than 300 KB.
  • Once all the documents are uploaded, the candidate must pay the application fee and then take a print of the application fee for further use.

Application Fee:

The candidates will be able to make the payment of the fee either offline or online. To make the fee payment offline, the candidate will have to pay through an e-challan and if the candidate wants to make the fee payment online then he or she will have to pay through the online payment gateway. The printout of the e-challan can be taken from the website. To download the e-challan, the candidate will have to follow the steps mentioned below:

  • First, the candidate will have to log in to the official website
  • Then the candidate will have to click on the Online application form
  • In the third step, the candidate will have to print the e-challan by clicking on the “print e-challan” button

The application fee for the General candidate is Rs. 600, the fee for the SEBC is Rs 600 and the fee for the SC and ST candidates will be Rs. 300.

KLEE 2022 Eligibility Criteria:

  • For five-year integrated law courses- The candidates will have to pass or appear for the class XII or equivalent examination. The candidates belonging to the General category will have to get at least 45% in aggregate. The candidates belonging to the socially and the educationally backward classes will have to get 42% in aggregate and the candidates belonging to the SC/ST category will have to get a minimum of 40% marks.
  • For getting admission to the three-year law course the candidates need to complete their graduation in any discipline from the Kerala University or its equivalent. They will have to get a minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying degree examination The candidates belonging to the SEBC will have to get a minimum of 42% and the ones belonging to the SC/ST category will have to get a minimum of 40% marks. There is neither an upper age limit nor a lower age limit here.
  • The candidate who is interested in applying for the one-year LLM course should have a Bachelor’s degree in law or a three-year LLB course. They must get a minimum of 50% in the qualifying examination.

Exam Pattern:

  • The examination will be conducted online.
  • The duration of the examination will be for two hours.
  • The candidates will have to attempt a total of 200 questions.
  • The maximum marks will be 600.
  • The candidate will be allotted 3 marks for each correct answer.
  • For each wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.

  • Aptitude in legal studies

Admit Card:

The admit card will also be released online and it will contain the name of the candidate, the application number, date of birth, date, venue of the examination, and the candidate’s photograph. To download the admit card, the candidate will have to follow the steps mentioned below:

  • The candidate will first have to visit the official website
  • Then click on the KLEE admit card link
  • Fill in the details including the application number, date of birth, etc., and then click on submit
  • Once all the details are submitted, the admit card will be available on the screen.

The admit card is a mandatory document that the candidate will have to carry in the examination center. Without the admit card, the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the examination.

Answer Key:

The answer key for both the three-year and the 5 year LLB programs is released on the official website. The candidates can check the answers and in case he or she is not convinced with any of the answers, they can raise objections against the provisional answer key. The authorities will first try to consider the validity of the objections raised and after this, the final answer key will be released.

Result:

The result for this examination will also be released on the official website and after this a merit list with names, roll numbers and scores will also be released. The allotment to the various law courses will also be based on the scores that the candidate receives. To download the result, the candidate will have to follow the steps mentioned below:

  • First, the candidate will have to log in to the official website
  • The candidate will then have to click on the “What’s New” button that is there on the top right-hand corner of the page
  • Click on the LLB 5 years result option
  • Then fill in the application and the password to access the results.
