KLEE 2023KLEE 2023: KLEE stands for Kerala Law Entrance Examination. This state-level entrance test commenced conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE) for providing admission to 5 year- integrated LLB course, 3 year LLB course and an LLM course. This test commenced in the online mode in various centres located in Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur, and Kozhikode. KLEE 2023 Eligibility Criteria:

For 5 years of Law Course:

  • If you are eager to apply for Five-year Integrated law courses then you must have completed class XII or some other equivalent examination.
  • Candidate belonging to the General category must have acquired at least 45% marks in class XII and 42% for those belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes. However, candidates from SC/ ST category must have acquired a minimum 40% marks
  • Candidate must have completed 17 years of age as on December 31 on the year of admission.

For 3 years Law Course:

  • Applicant must have successfully completed their graduation in any discipline from the University of Kerala or some other equivalent university.
  • Candidate must have successfully attained 45% marks in the qualifying examination.
  • Those who belong to SEBC must have attained at least 42% marks in the qualifying examination and 40% for those belonging to SC/ ST category
  • There are no specific age criteria to apply for the course.

One-year LLM course :

  • Applicant must have a graduation in Law i.e. five-year integrated LLB or three-year LLB course.
  • Candidate must have acquired at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam.

KLEE 2023 Application Form:

Step # 1: Online Registration

  1. First, the candidate needs to register online for the KLEE exam.
  2. For registration, the candidate must provide their relevant email ID and create a password
  3. After this, click on ‘Register for KLEE’ to get done with the registration
  4. The candidate will receive an application number and password as login credentials.

Step # 2: Application Form:

  1. Login the official website of CEE Kerala by using the application number provided and password.
  2. After this, the candidate will enter educational, personal and contact details.
  3. Upload the scanned documents.

Step #3: Uploading Documents:

  • Upload the Photograph in JPEG format and file size should be 10 KB to 30 KB
  • Upload the Signature  in JPEG format and file size should be up to 30 KB

Upload the following Documents:

  • Nativity proof
  • Community certificate (SC/ST candidates)
  • Non-creamy layer certificate
  • Inter-caste marriage certificate
  • Class X certificate/Birth Certificate/Passport.
  • Certificate from the medical board (for Persons with Disabilities)

Step# 4: Fee payment:

  1. The application process gets over with the submission of the application fee.
  2. Make a payment of the application fee using online modes such as Netbanking/Credit Card/Debit Card or if you are paying via offline mode then use E-challan and pay at the authorized bank.
  3. The application fee for General and SEBC category candidates will be Rs 650/- and Rs 325/- for SC/ST category applicants.

Step # 5: Form submission:

  1. Submit the application form using online mode.
  2. Make sure to keep the print of the application form for further use.

Admit Card:

  1. Exam conducting body will provide the admit card from the official website.
  2. Click on the link for the course applied for and a new page will open.
  3. Click on the Admit Card link and a new window will open to login.
  4. Enter KLEE 2023 application number and password to log in and download the admit card.
  5. The admit card will appear on the screen. Check the admit card and in case of any error, contact exam centre immediately.

  • Candidate’s details such as name, the application number, roll number, photograph and signature
  • Exam details such as name, course appearing for, exam day/date/time

Exam Pattern:

  • KLEE 2023will be conducted in the Computer-based mode.
  • The applicant needs to complete the paper within the duration of 120 minutes.
  • The Paper will be consisted of Objective Type Questions.
  • Paper will have three subjects.
  • There will be 200 Multiple Choice Questions.
  • 3 marks will be awarded for every correct answer.
  • There will be negative marking in the paper. One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
  • The General English section will have 65  questions for 195 marks
  • The General Knowledge section will have 65 questions for 195 marks
  • Aptitude for Legal Studies will have 70 questions for 210 marks

Exam Syllabus:

  • Syllabus for General English: This section will consist of topics such as Reading Comprehension, Word Usage, Vocabulary, Grammar, Inference-based questions, Synonyms, Antonyms, Foreign Words/Phrase, and Para Jumbles.
  • Syllabus for General Knowledge: This section will cover topics such as International events, UN bodies, Major developments in the areas of sports, geopolitics and important environmental agreements, Current affairs, Eminent personalities, Sports, and Awards and honours
  • Syllabus for Aptitude for Legal Studies: For this section, candidates will prepare from topics such as Law of Torts, Vicarious Liability, Strict Liability, Law of Crimes, Contracts and Constitutional Law, International Law, Intellectual Property Rights, and Legal Awareness covering Constitutional Law and Polity.

Answer Key:

The exam conducting authority will provide an answer key to the candidates after the commencement of the examination. Steps to get the answer key are as follows:

  1. Go to the official website
  2. Click on their respective course
  3. Click on ‘Answer Key for Integrated five-year LLB’ or ‘three-year LLB’ to proceed
  4. The answer key for the course with set A and set B will appear on the screen
  5. Check the answers using the answer key to get an idea of the scores.

Important to Note:

  • Candidate can file the objection against the answer key. In case of any error in the answer key, you may raise the objection by sending an application to CEE Kerala with fee and supporting documents.
  • Send an email within five days of the release of the answer key.
  • The candidate will pay Rs 100/- per question as an objection via Demand Draft along with the objection letter. The DD should be drawn in favour of CEE Kerala, payable at Thiruvananthapuram.

Exam Result:

KLEE 2023 result will be released on the official website. Candidates can seek the result details from the website. A merit list will appear on the screen and those who have successfully scored in the exam will be called for counselling further.

Counseling:

For seat allotment and admission process, counselling process will be conducted. the candidate will be called for counselling by exam conducting authority.

Documents needed for Counselling:

  • A copy of the KLEE 2023 application form
  • Any relevant school record/birth certificate/passport/ valid document as a proof of date of birth in the original.
  • Original Mark list and Pass Certificate of the qualifying examination
  • Transfer Certificate and Conduct Certificate from the institution studied last.
  • Two copies of the latest passport size photograph.
