To obtain the application form candidates need to furnish their details along with educational qualifications and postal address. A passport size photograph and signature should be scanned and submitted with the application form. Candidates must go through the details of the instructions stated in the booklet before filling up the form.
The application fee for the KPSC recruitment form differs slightly for varied jobseekers. For the general and OBC candidates, the fee is the same i.e. Rs.100 whereas for disabled persons and female candidates no fee is required. The above payments can be made through online mode via Credit or Debit card and even through net banking. Offline transfer of application fees can also be done by e-challan mode.
Any Indian National can fetch the application form provided he/she has done his/her graduation from any esteemed Indian academic institution. To seat for this admission test applicants must be within the age limit of 21-35 years. For OBC candidates the age limit is 38 while for SC/ST it is 40.

For this state-oriented competitive exam candidates have to follow these three steps mentioned below:
For the KPSC prelim, there will be two sets of papers both in English and Kannada language. Every single question carries 2 marks and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. This exam has a time duration of 4 hours for 200 questions. Paper I includes current affairs in the national and international domain with Humanities. It has a time limit of 2hours comprising 100 questions and for paper II another set of 100 questions needs to be answered in the remaining 2 hours. Questions on General studies, state-oriented current activities, General Science and Technology, Environment and Ecology and General Mental Ability forms the Paper II of the KPSC preliminary exam.
KPSC Main Examination has descriptive questions with Kannada and English as qualifying papers and 7 compulsory papers. Candidates have to secure at least 35%marks in qualifying papers.
The final stage of this competitive exam is the interview round which will be based on current affairs and general interests.
The Prelims include Objective type questions.
Geography of the world and Indian Geography with special emphasis on Karnataka.
The politics and economy of India comprise the political system of the country with rural growth, poverty mitigation, and so on.
The Main examination contains General studies or compulsory papers and optional subjects.
The optional subjects include Agriculture, Civil Engineering, Marketing& SERIL, Physics, Anthropology, Sociology, Animal Husbandry Veterinary, Philosophy, Political Science, Commerce, Geography, Science and Fisheries, Mechanical Engineering, Zoology, Statistics, Botany, Management, Law, Economics, Mathematics, Geology, Public Administration and any literature- English/Hindi/Kannada/Urdu
Candidates need to login into the official KPSC Recruitment site with their username and password. Then they need to go to My Application and select Advertisement Type, Year, and Post Name. To download the Admit Card candidates have to go to CheckBox and press the Hall Ticket option on the KPSC official site. Candidates always need to collect the admit cards once it is announced by the officials. It is an essential document containing all the necessary details of an applicant. Hence they must carry the admit card in the examination hall as without an admit card a candidate cannot sit for the examination.
The answer key will be disclosed after the exams are conducted. The answer key will be announced separately for prelim and mains on the KPSC official website. To download the KPSC answer key candidates need to go through the following steps:
First, candidates need to log-in to the KPSC official website. Then just by a click on the Answer Key candidates can have a full view of the answer key for the examination. By downloading the question paper candidates can thus compare their answers easily.
After every round result will be announced on the official website. Candidates must check the website frequently to know the results. By providing their id number and date of birth candidates can view their results.
The qualifying marks or cut off are presented on the official site by the council. These cut-off marks do not remain the same every year. Certain factors are responsible for this like the number of candidates applying for the jobs, the number of vacancies in that particular year, the number of applicants clearing the exam, and so on.
