It is absolutely necessary for the candidate to get at least 55% in the Master’s examination specializing in the subject for which he is appearing in the Karnataka SET 2022. For the candidates belonging to the reserved category, the minimum marks that they will have to get will be 50%. Candidates who are appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination can also appear for this test. However, they have to get the qualifying marks once the results are out. If the candidate has already appeared for the KSET examination for any particular subject, he or she cannot appear again for the same subject. There will be a relaxation of 5% for the age criteria for candidates who belong to the reserved category.

In the month of October, there is a notification released and once it is done, the candidates will have to fill up an application form online. The candidate will have to submit the application form before the last date of the application. The examination is conducted in the month of December. There are various examination centers where this examination will be conducted.
The KSET 2022 Application Fee for the candidates belonging to the general category will be Rs.1050/-. The fee for the candidates belonging to Categories IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB will be Rs.850. The candidates belonging to category I, SC, ST and PWS will have to pay Rs.550/-. The candidates who fill in the application form after the last date will have to pay Rs.150/- as late fee.
The syllabus for this particular examination will be the same as that of the UGC/CSIR-NET. The candidates will be able to download the syllabus from the official portal. If the candidate has to perform well in the examination, then it is important for him to know about the syllabus in detail. There will be a General Paper that will be on Aptitude and Teaching. This will have questions on General Awareness, Comprehension, Reasoning ability, Geography of the Karnataka State, divergent thinking, social-economic, historical, environment, climate, technological knowledge and political education.

There are a total of 2 papers and both these papers are conducted on the same day. Paper 1 will consist of questions on Aptitude and also General Knowledge and Paper II will have questions on the subject that the candidate has selected. This test will have multiple-choice questions. Candidates appearing for the test in the first session will not be allowed to appear for the second session. This is an offline test and the candidates will have to answer the questions in the OMR sheets that they will get along with the booklet for the test.
The KSET 2022 will be held in the month of December. There will be a number of examination centers where this examination will be conducted. The admit card will be released in the official portal by the higher authority. The candidates who enroll for the examination will have to download the call letter about 10 to 20 days before the actual examination date.
The answer key for KSET 2022 will be released in the month of February in the official website. The candidates will be able to check the answers and calculate the actual score in the examination. In the answer key, you will be able to find the correct answers besides the questions. There are separate answer keys for the separate sets of booklets.
