Eligibility Criteria:
Those who are eligible to apply for the MAH B.Ed CET 2024 examination are required to appear for the Entrance Examination on the fixed date. The application of the candidates will be accepted for appearing in the Entrance Exam but prior to that go through the Eligibility Criteria:
- The candidate should be a citizen of India.
- Candidate must have Graduation or Post Graduation with subjects like Social Sciences(History/Geography/Economics/ Sciences/Mathematics/ Psychology/Philosophy/ Political Sciences/Education/Library Science)/Humanity Sciences ( including all Languages and Literatures like- English, Marathi, Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit, Pali-Prakrut, etc. studied as Optional/Special Subject at Graduation)/Commerce.
- Aspirant must have successfully completed a Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree with at least 50% marks for Open Category and Minimum 45% marks for Backward Class categories from the state of Maharashtra those who belong to SC, ST, VJ-DT NT-(A), NT1-(B), 5 NT-2-(C), NT-3-(D), OBC, and SBC ( 44.50% and above to be considered as 45%) should be there in Graduation and Post Graduation.

- Candidate must have attained a degree of graduation or Post Graduation with subjects in Engineering or Technology/(Science and Mathematics as a Special subject)/Bachelor’s Degree and or Master’s Degree with the subjects such as Computers/ Law/ Information-Technology/ Management/ Engineering/ Agriculture/ BBI/ Medical Sciences/ All Social Sciences/ Fine Art/ Performing Art (Music/ Dance / Drama etc).
- The candidate must have acquired at least 55% marks(54.50% and more either in Bachelor’s Degree and or in the Master’s Degree ( at least 50% marks in case of Backward Class Category candidates belonging to State of Maharashtra belonging to SC, ST, VJ-DT NT-(A), NT1-(B), NT-2-(C), NT-3-(D), OBC, and SBC. (49.50% and above to be considered as 50%)
OR
- Candidate must have successfully completed Graduation or Post Graduation or some other equivalent degree via the Government of Maharashtra, in the subjects given above.
OR
- Candidate must have acquired a degree of Graduation or Post Graduation by Open University integrated by an act of the Central or State Legislature.
OR
- Those who are in the final year of their Graduation can also apply for the examination.

- Candidate should be of Indian Origin.
- Candidates from backward class those who have done Graduation or Post Graduation from Out of Maharashtra University will be under Open Category Candidates.
- Candidate must possess some Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree.
- Candidate must have cleared with at least 55% of marks for all the categories.
- The candidate those who are appearing in the Final year of the examination of graduation can also apply for the examination.
Application Form:

Application Fee:
- Those who belong from Outside Maharashtra State or Open Category Candidates from Maharashtra State and J&K Migrant candidates need to make payment of Rs. 800
- Those who belong to Maharashtra State of Backward class Categories (SC, ST, VJDT, NT (A), NT-1 (B), NT-2(C), NT-3(D), OBC and SBC categories with a valid certificate, as applicable) need to make payment of 400

Exam Pattern:
Candidates can find below the Maharashtra B.Ed CET Exam Pattern:
- Exam will commence online.
- The paper will be divided into three sections- Mental Ability, General Knowledge and Teacher Aptitude.
- There will be 100 Objective Type Questions.
- Time duration will be 60 minutes.
- 1 mark will be awarded for every correct answer and there will be no negative marking.
- The mode of language will be English and Marathi.
- Mental Ability consisted of 40 questions, General Knowledge will have 30 Questions, and Teacher Aptitude will be of 30 Questions.
- Those who are willing to avail admission in English Medium Colleges of Education need to appear in another test along with B.Ed. CET, which will be full of English Language Content Test (ELCT). ELCT will be comprises of 50 Multiple Choice Questions and time duration will be for one hour.
Exam Syllabus:
MAH B.Ed CET 2024 Exam syllabus will be based on the syllabus that the candidate must have studied in graduation.
- Section Mental Ability will be comprises of Relationship, Analogies, Classification, Series, Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, Problems on Dice, etc., either in Verbal or Non-Verbal form.
- General Knowledge will be consisted of past Events, Science and Technology, History, Current Affairs including, Geography, Civics, Political Science and Literature in General.
- Teacher Aptitude section consisted of questions based on Education and Society, communication and Professional commitment, etc.
- English will have topics such as Sentence Formation, Vocabulary, Grammar, Reading Comprehension, Phonetics, Verbal idioms and Proverbs and Figures of Speech
Maharashtra B.Ed CET Result:
MAH B.Ed CET 2024 Result of the examination will be announced through the official portal. The exam result will be announced by the Commissioner for the Entrance Test (CET). Those who clear the examination will be chosen for the next round.
Cut Off:
The candidate is required to attain minimum scores for seeking admission in several colleges providing B. Ed courses in the state of Maharastra. The cut off will be dependent on the following factors:
- The number of applicants
- The availability of seats
- Previous year cut off marks and various levels of the entrance test.
Counselling:
Maharashtra B.Ed CET 2024 Counseling will start in the month of June and July most probably after results are declared. Counseling will take place in four different stages.
In the counselling round, the Commissioner for the Entrance Test (CET) will allot the seats as well as college to the qualified candidate which is truly based on the merit list. Those who clear the examination will be called for counselling process. For Counselling, the applicant will register from the official website and also need to report at the allocated college
There will be a Common Allotment Process which will be done via the Single Window System (SWS) for allotting seats to the qualified candidates into several colleges under Government Control based options
Documents Needed During Maharashtra B.Ed CET Admission 2024:
- MAH B.Ed CET Admit Card
- Certificate of Class X or some other relevant school records as proof of the date of birth.
- Transfer certificate, character certificate from the institution from where the candidate must have studied before.
- Two recent passport size photographs of the candidate
- Those who clear the qualifying examination from Universities/Boards outside Maharastra need to produce an “Eligibility Certificate / Equivalency Certificate” from any of the Universities in Maharastra.
- The candidates those who belong to SC, ST, VJ-DT NT-(A), NT1-(B), NT-2(C), NT-3(D), OBC, and SBC categories need to show “Caste Certificate” issued by the Competent Authority if required.
- Degree, Certificates and Mark list of the qualifying exam in ORIGINAL
- Original Certificates along with the application form.
- The candidates those who belong to ST Category need to submit the “Tribe Validity Certificate” issued by the Scrutiny Committee of Tribal Development Department.
- The candidates who belong to VJDT NT(A), NT1(B), NT-2(C), NT-3(D), OBC, and SBC need to submit a Valid Non-Creamy Layer Certificate as applicable.
