MAKAUT CET 2023: Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal held Common Entrance Test (CET) for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs in MAKAUT and its associated colleges. The entrance exam takes place tentatively in the month of August and September. Entrance will take place in the subcategory like Science, Education, and Management field. MAKAUT CET 2023 Application Form:

The release date of the online MAKAUT CET application form tentatively starts in the month of April. Last date to fill the form till in August month.

  • For registration, you will have to go through the MAKAUT CET link.
  • Register your name and contact number, email id.
  • After this you will get log in details, Registration number and DOB as a password.
  • Open the application form and fill in details like personal information, parent’s information, gender, category, etc.
  • Submit your educational documents, photographs and signature in the required size and format.
  • Payment of the application fee online.
  • Review your details before final submission if any correction is there do it again and then finally submit it.

Application Fee:

Application fees are different for the category wise and it is non-refundable and non-adjustable in any condition. Fees will be paid online by using a Credit Card, Debit Card and Net Banking. Category wise fee structure is given below.

  • General/OBC Category – Rs. 600/-
  • SC/ST/PWD Category – Rs. 350/-

Eligibility Criteria:

Eligibility criteria are different as per the entrance test applied for. There are groups that have been divided for the test. Candidates are suggested to go through the whole eligibility requirement before applying for the examination.  According to group criteria is as follows:

  • Candidates who seeking admission in UG courses must have passed/appeared in 10+2 from the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Examination (WBCHE) in the General or vocational stream.
  • Candidates who seeking admission in PG courses must have passed/appeared in last year’s Bachelor’s degree course are eligible for the test.
  • Must have English along with Statistics/ IT/ Computer Science/ Information Practice/ Computer Science/ Mathematics/ Business Mathematics/ Computer Application in 12th
  • Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English as the main subjects in the intermediate class.
  • Must have an undergraduate degree in the following stream as required.

Exam Pattern:

The mode of the examination is online that is Computer Based Test (CBT). The examination will take place in the tentatively month of June. The exam will be done in three phases.

  • Total number of questions: 50
  • Multiple Choice Questions will be there.
  • The total marks of the question paper are a maximum of 100
  • The total time duration of the examination is 90 minutes
  • You will be awarded 2 marks at every correct answer

MAKAUT CET 2023 Exam Syllabus:

 MAKAUT CET syllabus will be divided into groups and according to that candidates appear for the entrance exam which is as follows:

  • Group A: Numerical Ability, General Knowledge, Non- Verbal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, English
  • Group B: English, Business Mathematics, Series, Verbal Reasoning, Non- Verbal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, General Mathematics.
  • Group C:  English, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Logical Reasoning.
  • Group D:  English, Mathematics, Biology, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning.
  • Group E: English, Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge, Numerical Ability.

Admit Card:

Admit Card will be released tentatively in the month of June first week. It can be downloaded by using an online medium through registration number and date of birth as a password. Maximum three examination centre will be select by candidates as per choice.

Without admit card one must not be allowed in the examination hall. It has following details:

  1. Name and photograph
  2. Roll number
  3. Parent’s Name
  4. Reporting date and time
  5. Examination Centre address
  6. Important information regarding examination

Result:

You can download the result by using the roll number and date of birth as a password, after taking the examination; the conducting authority might announce the result after a month from the examination. Aspirants are suggested to check their results at the web portal of the Board. They can download the scorecard and check the qualifying status.

Cutoff/Counseling:

Cut-off marks will be prepared on the basis of the minimum score got in the examination. The prepared list will be displayed on the online portal of the official authority. Candidates can check their status of admission and according to that seat allotment in the colleges starts.

Counseling will be done after the merit list. Counseling dates will be checked online so candidates are suggested to check notifications according to it.

Documents required at the time of counseling:

  • Educational qualification Mark sheet and passing certificates.
  • Domicile Certificate.
  • Registration number and slip.
  • Passport size photographs.
  • Caste certificates.
  • Admit card issued at the time of exam
