This is the state level examination conducts every year so that relevant candidates may get the post of assistant professor for faculties like Arts; Commerce; Science; Management; Law; Mental, Moral and Social Sciences; Education and Physical Education. Eligibility Criteria:

It is recommended to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the MH SET 2022 examination.

  • Candidate must be possessed with Master’s Degree recognized by UGC student’s Post Graduate diploma/certificate awarded by Indian University/Institute or Foreign degree/Diploma/Certificate given by the Foreign University/Institute
  • Those who belong to SC/ST/OBC/SBC/DT/NT category must have acquired at least 55% marks in post-graduation or related examination to apply for the exam. Candidates from OBC/SBC/DT/NT from the non-creamy layer and SC/ST/PH/VH (PH & VH-Visually, i.e., Blind) must be possessed with 50% marks in Post graduation or related exam may apply for the examination.
  • Those who have successfully completed or those who are in their final year (post-graduation) and waiting for the result may also apply for the test.
  • Applicants from other states (except Maharashtra and Goa) from reserved categories (such as  SC/ST/OBC/SEBC) will be considered under the Open/Unreserved category according to the rules of the Maharashtra and Goa States.
  • There is no specific age limit to apply for the test.

MH SET 2022 Application Form:

The application form will be released on a fixed date. Those who are interested in seeking the post of Assistant Professor in universities/ colleges located in Maharashtra and Goa need to apply for the test using the application form. The entire process will conduct through online mode.

  1. First of all, visit the official website.
  2. Start with the registration by submitting the required details in the field mentioned in the application form.
  3. The candidate will receive a username and password. Fill the Application Form with correct and complete details.
  4. It is equally important to check all the details mentioned in the Application Form before making the final submission of the application form.
  5. Along with filling the application form, upload scanned photo and signature in the prescribed format i.e. photograph size – 50kb JPG or JPEG File and Signature 30kb JPG or JPEG File

  • Application Fee for Open Category is Rs. 800/-
  • For OBC/SBC/DT (A)/NT(B)/NT(C)/NT(D)(Non-Creamy Layer Category only)/ SC/ST/PH/VISUAL HALLUCINATIONS, the application fee is Rs. 650/-
  • Candidate can pay the application fee using challan at any branch of HDFC Bank or Bank of Maharashtra.

Exam Pattern:

There will be three papers – Paper-I, Paper-II, and Paper-III. The examination for these three papers will commence in one day but in two different sessions. The exam will be commenced in the offline mode and for the duration of 3 hours (Paper I for1 hour and Paper-II for 2 hours). The entire paper will be Objective type. Paper I will have 50 MCQs Type questions and Paper-II will have100 MCQs Types Questions. There will be no negative marking in paper and each question carries 2 marks.
