MITID DAT 2022: MIT Institute of Design (MITID) commences MIT Design Aptitude Test (MIT DAT) to provide admission in Undergraduate and postgraduate courses. This is a national-level examination conducts both in offline as well as online mode. After clearing the entrance test, the candidate will be called for a Personal Interview and studio test. Eligibility Criteria:

For PG Course:
- MDes: Aspirants who have completed their graduation in the pattern 10+2+3 from some recognized university may apply for the MDes programme.
- Interior Space & Furniture Design: The applicant must have done graduation or equivalent in Engineering, Science, Architecture, or Industrial Design
- Retail Design: The minimum qualification must be the graduation or equivalent in Engineering, Architecture, Science or Industrial Design to apply for Retail Design
- Graphic Design: The applicant must be a graduate or equivalent in Applied Arts, Literature, Media, Film, Fine Arts, Animation or in any other communication design discipline
- Product Design: To apply for Product Design, the minimum qualification is graduation or equivalent in Science, Engineering, Architecture, or Industrial Design
- Transportation Design: IF you want to apply for Transportation Design then a graduation degree or equivalent in Science, Engineering, Architecture, or Industrial Design is the requirement.
- Animation Film Design: The applicant must have done graduation or equivalent in Fine Arts, Media, Film, Animation, Applied Arts, Literature, or any communication design discipline
- User Experience Design: A degree of graduation or equivalent in Engineering, Science or any Design Discipline is a minimum requirement.
- Film & Video Design, Immersive Media Design, Design Management, and Fashion Management & Marketing: A degree of graduation or equivalent in any discipline.
- Transcultural Design: The entrant must have cleared graduation or equivalent in the Design discipline.

- Candidates can register online by entering information such as email id, mobile number, and password.
- In the next step, click the “Register” button.
- After submitting the registration details, activate your account. To do this, click the link sent to you via email.
- After the account activation, click on the “Login” button.
- Choose the course you want to apply for.
- Fill in all the necessary details such as Personal Information, educational qualification and so on.

- Submit the Application fee through DD or online mode.

Admit Card:
There will be the release of the admit card through the official website. Those who have successfully submit the application form need to acquire the admit card to appear in the DAT. You will receive the link to download the admit card from the official website. The admit card is a significant document that a candidate should carry along while moving to the exam center. Also, carry a relevant identity card on the exam day.
Exam Pattern:
The examination pattern is important information to appear in the MITID DAT exam. It comprises examination mode, types of questions, marking scheme, etc. Here are the details of the same:
- The exam will be commenced in Pen and paper mode
- The paper will have 10 questions overall.
- The maximum marks will be 100
- Candidates will give the test in the English language.

The Personal Interview and Radio test will commence in the Pune campus.
Selection Process:
The selection round will start as soon as the results are announced. As per the admission process, the shortlisted applicants will move to the next step such as Personal Interview and Portfolio Review Rounds.
- First Phase: DAT (Design Aptitude Test): This is a written test. It includes objective, subjective, and drawing tests. The Objective, as well as the subjective sections, will be computer-based rounds. However, the drawing test includes the questions shown on the computer and applicants need to answer in an A4 size drawing sheet. Candidates will then upload the scanned copy of the answer sheet to fulfill the evaluation need.
- Second Phase: Personal Interview and Portfolio Review: In the second phase, the applicant will go through personal interviews and portfolio reviews. And the list of the selected candidates for the Second Phase will appear on the website.
Marks Distribution:
- Design Aptitude Test(DAT) – 25 marks
- Portfolio review – 25 marks
- Personal Interview – 50 marks
Exam Result:
The result of MITID DAT 2022 will be released in online mode. Candidates can check the result by providing login credentials such as roll number, application number, and so on. The result includes the applicant’s name as well as the rank of the applicant. Here are the steps to check the Result:
