NEET SS 2024: NEET SS stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test: Super Speciality. It is an exam for postgraduate medical students and is conducted for admissions in various DM and MCh courses that can be pursued after post-graduation in MS/MD or DNB. In 2024, NEET SS will likely be held in the month of September. Candidates who manage to clear the exam can appear in the NEET SS 2024counselling and seat allotment process. The authority will also release a list of documents that compulsorily need to be produced by the candidates for verification.

NEET SS 2024 Application Form
The application form for NEET SS 2024 will be available solely through online mode. It will be released in the third week of July 2024. Before filling out the application form, you must go through the eligibility criteria and ensure that you fulfill the same. Thereafter, you can proceed to fill out the application form by entering all the relevant details about yourself such as your name, parents’ names, email address, phone number, education qualifications, and so on.
The final date for submitting the application form will be until the first week of August 2024. Don’t worry if you happen to make a mistake while filling out the form; the authorities will offer a correction facility to candidates from the second week to the third week of August 2024. However, keep in mind that this facility will be provided for specific fields only.
Once you are done, proceed to download the form and take a printout of the same for future reference.
Application Fee:
The application fee for NEET SS 2024 can be paid online mode only. You can pay the fee via various payment gateways, such as a credit card or debit card issued by the bank of India. The fee will be Rs.4250/- for every candidate.

Eligibility Criteria:
Given below are the basic eligibility criteria to appear in NEET SS 2024:
- Qualification: The candidate must hold a postgraduate medical degree (MS/MD/DNB) or a provisional pass certificate or equivalent from a recognized institution to be in possession of the same by the 15th of September 2024.
- Appearing: Those candidates appearing for their postgraduate exam in 2024 are eligible to apply for NEET SS 2024 as well.
- Registration: The candidate must be registered with the MCI(Medical Council of India) or any State Medical Council.

Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Nationals:
Foreign candidates don’t need to be registered with the Medical Council of India. However, they shall be registered with the respective authorities of their own country. At the time of admission, the MCI may issue a temporary registration to these candidates for a period equivalent to the tenure of the course.
NEET SS 2024 Exam Pattern:
The exam pattern for NEET SS 2024 is given below.
- Exam Mode: The exam will be conducted via online mode.
- Duration: The candidates will be given 2 hours and 30 minutes to solve the question paper.
- Total Questions: There will be a total of 150 questions in the NEET SS question paper.
- Type of Questions: The paper will contain multiple choice questions.
- Marking scheme: Four marks will be awarded for each correct answer, and one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
Syllabus:
The syllabus for NEET SS is not fixed, and questions can be asked from all the topics that are covered during both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. However, the subjects that one needs to prepare will be limited to the feeder course and super specialty course chosen by the candidates.
All the questions in the exam will be from the postgraduate exit level. The syllabus will be designed to check the technical and non-technical skills of the candidates. The candidate must check the complete syllabus of the exam on the official website.
Admit Card:
The NEET SS 2024 admit card will be released in the fourth week of August 2024. It will be available exclusively via online mode. For downloading the admit card, candidates need to submit their application number and password on the website.
The admit card contains details such as the exam date, time, venue, roll number, and so on. No candidate will be allowed to take the exam without showing a valid admit card. After downloading the card, the candidates must check all the details printed on the same.
Result:
The authorities will publish the NEET SS 2024 result in the third week of September 2024 in the form of a merit list and a rank card. The candidates will have to log in using their NBEMS ID and password. The result will consist of the candidate’s score and performance in the entrance exam. There will be no re-evaluation or re-checking by the authorities under any circumstances.
Candidates will be shortlisted for the final counselling process on the basis of their NEET SS results. They must take a printout of the result card for further use. The result will only be valid for the current admission session.
Answer Key:
The answer key to the NEET SS 2024 exam will be made available shortly before the declaration of the result. Candidates can go through the key and cross-check their scores.
Counseling:
There will be a common counselling process for all super-specialty seats of NEET SS 2024, conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Government of India.It will commence in the first week of October 2024.
The counselling will be conducted in a number of rounds based on the availability of seats. Seats will be allotted to the candidates based on their rank scored by them. Authorities will also verify their documents during the counselling process. Thus, the candidates must carry all relevant documents while reporting to their counselling centre.
