NIC Recruitment 2023 Application Form:

National Informatics Centre (NIC) will release the application form in February for scientists and Scientific Officers on the official website. Here are the steps to fill out the Application Form:

• Visit the official website: www.calicut.nielit.in.
• Then candidates have to register themselves.
• For registration, candidates have to provide a valid email ID & Mobile number.
• Then fill out the application form and pay the application fee.

Documents required to fill the NIC Recruitment Application Form:

• Scanned copy of the photograph (in JPG format, size less than 50 KB).
• Scanned copy of signature (in JPG format, size less than 50 KB).
• Keep the scanned copy of the following documents ready in a PDF file. The file size should be less than 03 MB.
  • Date of birth certificate
  • Identity proof
  • Essential educational qualification
  • Experience certificate
  • Caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC)
  • EWS certificate (is applicable)
  • Category certificate (PWD or any other if applicable)

Application Fee:

• The mode of Payment will be Online mode.
• Candidates can use Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking to make the payment for the application fee.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have to check their Eligibility before fill-up the Application Form. The Eligibility Criteria are given below for the Exam:

For Scientist – ‘B’:

• Candidates must have the degree of E/ B.Tech/ DOEACC B- Level OR AMIE/ GIETE Or MSc Or MCA OR ME/M. Tech
• OR M. Phil in Electronics, Electronics and communication, computer science, communication, computer, and networking security, computer application, software system, information technology, information technology management, informatics, computer management, cyber law, electronics, and instrumentation.

For Scientific Technical Assistant – ‘A’:

• Candidates must have B.E/ B.Tech/ M. Sc/ MS/ MCA
• Electronics, Electronics and communication, electronics and telecommunications, computer sciences, computer and networking security, software system, information technology, and informatics.

Age Limit:

• For UR /EWS category age limit will be 30.
• SC/ST categories candidates must be 35 years old.

NIC 2023 Exam Pattern:

• Mode: The Exam will be OMR-based (Offline mode).
• Type of Questions: Multiple choice questions will be asked in the Exam.
• Number of Questions: There will be a total of 120 objective-type Questions comprising 78 Technical Area (Computer Science) questions and 42 Generic Area Questions.
• Marking Scheme: +1 mark will be given for each correct answer.
• Negative marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Admit Card:

The Admit Card for NIC 2023 will be issued by the authority 10 days before the Exam. Candidates have to download the Admit Card with the help of a login Id & Password. The Admit Card will consist of the information regarding the Exam Center & Exam date.
