- Fill the Application Form: First applicants are required to apply in online mode. First, fill all the details in the NICC entrance exam application form by clicking on ‘Apply Now’. Make sure to fill all the fields in the application form correctly. After this, applicants will be taken to the page which confirms that the application has been sent. They will also get the link on the confirmation page to download the full Application Form. They may also receive a call from the NICC Admissions Officer.
- Pay the Application Fee: Those who have filled out the application form will pay the application fee of INR 3,000

For UG Courses:
Those who have cleared Class XII or equivalent from any stream to apply for the NICC entrance test for admission to the integrated UG design programmes.
For PG Courses:
The eligibility criteria for the entrance test are different for different PG admission combination design courses. Check the PG courses eligibility conditions:
- International Postgraduate Diploma in Interaction Design + MBA Information Systems: Applicants must have completed graduation in BTech or equivalent/ Visual Communication/Design/Mass Communication.
- International Postgraduate Diploma in Product Design + MBA Project/ Technology Management: Applicants must have completed graduation in Engineering/Architecture/Art/Design with a basic understanding for three dimensional forms and drawing skills.
- International Postgraduate Diploma in Interior Design for Retail + MBA Retail Management Degree: Applicants must have done graduation in Interior Design/ Architecture/Art/Design with drawing skills for three dimensional forms and spaces.
- International Postgraduate Diploma in Communication Design + MA Mass Communication Degree: Candidate must be a graduate in any stream.
Admission Process:

- Entrance Test: Candidates will get admission on the basis of the portfolios submitted and/or video interviews. Submit the Portfolio online and the interviews will commence online through video calling. The information of the interview such as the timings of the video call will be provided to the applicants by the admissions officer.
- Result Announcement: Those who are selected will be informed via phone or email at the time of registration. During this time, applicants will be confirmed about the admission by paying INR.20, 000/- through online mode by transferring the amount to NICC. Check the bank account details sent in the confirmation e-mail. This way payment will be locked for the selected applicant.
- Test Centres: The entrance test will be commenced in the online interview. Applicants can go to the entrance exam cities for further reference.
NICC 2024 Syllabus:
Questions asked in the Interview are based on the applicant’s academic and professional objectives, understanding of the structure and operational framework of NICC along with understanding of the programmes offered at NICC. As far as the portfolio is concerned, go through the below-mentioned points:
- For UG Candidates: The portfolio of the candidates applying for the Under Graduate courses consist of work like drawings, paintings, sketches (digital or hand-made), collages, sculpture, design concepts, photographs, animation, hand-crafted objects, design models, computer artwork, web presentations, videos, scripts, articles, poems, and so on.
- For PG Candidates: The portfolio of the applicants applying for the Post Graduate courses should consist of work relevant to the integrated design programme applied for. In addition to this, applicants can include other creative work similarly applying for UG courses.
Exam Pattern:
Check the examination pattern of NICC which is divided into three sections such as Aptitude Test, Interview and Portfolio Evaluation. The Aptitude Test will be consisted of an objective-type written entrance test which applicants are required to complete in three hours. Check the details below:
- The exam will be for 3 hours duration
- Candidate needs to complete 100 questions
After completing the aptitude test, applicants will appear for the interview on the same day. The Interview will evaluate the applicant’s academic objectives. The portfolio evaluation will also be included along with the portfolio.
