NID Admission 2024: NID Design Aptitude Test is an examination commenced to short the eligible candidates for seeking admission in Undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered at NID campuses. The candidate is required to clear to NID admission tests for seeking admission in Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD), Bachelor of Design (B.Des), and Master of Design (M.Des) courses proffered at the campus. Previously, NID proffers admission to different campuses via the NID entrance exam. However, from the year 2024 onwards, two more NID campuses – NID Bhopal and NID Jorhat also started providing admission in the GDPD course based on the NID admission test.

NID Application Form 2024:
The NID Application Form has been released on the official website. First, fill the NID Application Form 2024 through the official website. Upload the supporting documents, signature, and photograph and fill the details in NID registration form, candidates are required to make payment of the application fee by Credit/Debit Card or by Demand Draft drawn in favor of ” All India Management Association” and should be payable at New Delhi.

- The Candidates can pay the application fee through credit card, debit card (online mode), or by demand draft (offline mode).
- The demand draft can be prepared in favor of ‘All India Management Association’, payable at New Delhi.

Eligibility Criteria:
Those who wanted to apply for B.Des or GDPD courses at NID were required to go through the eligibility criteria mentioned below:
- Those who have cleared or appearing for the higher secondary (10+2) qualifying examination in any stream from Humanities, Commerce, and Science, can apply for the entrance exam. Also, higher secondary must be done from some recognized board like IB, ICSE, CBSE, or their equivalent in the year 2024 can also apply for the examination.
- The candidate is eligible to apply for the M.Des course if completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college/university. In addition to this, the candidate must be 30 years of age to apply for NID admission in the M.Des course.

Admission Procedure:
NID admissions are a two-tier procedure and to seek admission, candidates are required to appear for NID DAT (Preliminary) and NID DAT (Mains). The aim of the test is to check knowledge, skills, and behavioral abilities.
NID 2024 Preliminary Test:
- The exam will be conducted in offline (pen/paper) mode.
- It is a written test consisted of objective and subject questions.
- The question paper will be of 100 marks.
- The candidate needs to complete the test within 3 hours.
- The exam will be asked in the English language.
Admit Card:
Download the admit card for NID Entrance Exam from the official website. Those who fail to receive the admit card for the entrance test are required to contact the NID Admission Cell. Download the admit cards in the month of March 2024.
