NIFT 2022: NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology, Mumbai) is an institute that offers admissions to eligible candidates in various Bachelor’s and Master’s professional courses in the field of fashion technology and design field. NIFT 2022 Application Form:
The online registrations process for the NIFT Entrance exam will start from the 1st Week of December 2021. The interested candidate can fill the application form from the official website. The application form will be made available through online mode only. The steps to fill, the application form are given below.
Steps to Apply For NIFT 2022:
- Visit the official website of NIFT i.e, https://nift.ac.in/
- On the Home Page, Click on the ‘ Admission ’
- A new page will open, click on the “ login ” link.
- Now choose your Programme and hit the button ‘ Click here to apply ’
- Now Register yourself and fill in basic details such as name, DOB, mail Id, contact number, etc.
- Then the candidate will receive a verification code in your registered ID & number.
- Now log in using “ login credentials ”
- Fill in all the other details & complete your application process.
- Upload passport size photograph & signature in JPG/ JPEG format.
- Now proceed to submit the registration fee as per your category.
- After fee submission, click on the submit option.
- At last, print the confirmation page for future reference.
Application Fee:
The Application Fee of NIFT 2022 for different categories is mentioned below:
- For General/OBC-NCL candidates – Rs.3000
- For SC/ST and PwD candidates – Rs.1500

Eligibility Criteria:
For UG Programmes:
- The candidate should have passed a secondary or equivalent examination from any recognized board.
- The candidates holding a 3-4 years Diploma recognized by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education can also apply for NIFT 2022.
- The minimum age limit to apply for NIFT 2022 is 24 years as of 1st August 2022 for the General category.
- 5 years Age relaxation will be given to SC/ST/PHP candidates.
- Appearing candidates are also eligible to apply for NIFT 2022
For PG Programmes:
- No age limit to apply for a master’s degree.
- For M.Des & M.F.M programs, the candidate must have qualified a UG degree from any recognized institution/university by law in India.
- For the M.tech program, the candidate should have passed B.F.Tech from NIFT or B.E/B.Tech from any institution/university recognized by law in India.
- The candidate appearing in the qualifying exam can also apply for NIFT 2022.
NIFT 2022 Exam Pattern:
- Exam Mode: The Exam will be conducted through offline mode.
- Type of Questions: The paper will consist of multiple-choice type questions.
- Duration: Time duration for B.Des and M.Des entrance test is 2 hours, For B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, and MFM entrance exams are 3 hours.
- Marking Scheme: There will be no negative marking in the exam paper.

Syllabus:
- General Ability Test (GAT): Quantitative Ability, Communication Ability, Analytical Ability, English Comprehension, General Knowledge & Current Affairs for B.Des & M.Des courses.
- The syllabus of GAT for B.F.Tech, MFM, and M.F.Tech comprises of Analytical & Logical Ability, General Knowledge & Current Affairs & Case Study, Quantitative Ability, Communication Ability & English Comprehension.
- Creative Ability Test (CAT) for B.Des & M.Des tests involves the group discussion (GD) would comprise of a discussion on a case study. The innovative and creative ability of the candidates in designing while Situation test for B.Des candidates will evaluate a candidate’s skills for material handling and innovative ability.
Admit Card:
- The admit card will be provided to the candidates through online mode only.
- The admit card can be downloaded by the eligible candidates through the official website.
- Admit card will be published in the last week of January 2022.
- It is an important document for all the candidates and candidates must bring the admit card on the exam date.
Result:
- The result of NIFT 2022 will be declared at the end of May/June 2022.

- To check the result the candidates will have to enter their application number, roll number, and date of birth.
- The result of B.F.Tech will be prepared based on GAT only.
