NIT Calicut Admission 2023 Application Process:
To apply for the course in NIT Calicut, first, you need to fill in the application form with accurate information. Go to the official website of the respective national-level entrance exams commencing bodies and fill in the application form in the online mode. Those who are interested in B. Tech need to fill in the application form for JEE Main/ JEE Main via the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) (www.nta.ac.in).
Documents required during Application Process:
Applicants need to bring the following documents during the time of the written exam and/or interview in original for verification. Make sure to send the self-attested hard copies along with the application form and scan-copy via email. Here is the list of required documents:
- Valid Photo-ID proof
- Mark sheets and degree certificates of all qualifications/degrees starting from Class X or equivalent.
- Character Certificate issued by the head of the institution/department last attended
- OBC/SC/ST/PD Certificate (if needed)
- Proof of Date of Birth
- Statement of Purpose indicating the area and type of research work proposed to be carried out
- Appearing Certificate from the head of the department/institute for candidates in the final examination of the qualifying degree
Course, Course Fee, and Selection Criteria:
The admission to B. Tech is proffered based on JEE Main Scores. In the same manner, to seek admission to other courses, the applicant needs to qualify for the national-level entrance test. Given below is the list of courses and selection criteria:
- B.Tech: Applicant must have acquired at least 60% aggregate in Class XII with mandatory subjects such as Maths and Physics + JEE Main. Course Fee: Rs.5, 42,000
- B.Arch: Candidate must have acquired at least 60% aggregate in Class XII with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects + JEE Main Paper 2. Course Fee: Rs.6, 78,000
- M.Tech: Applicant must have achieved a minimum 55% aggregate in BE/ BTech in relevant stream + GATE. The approximate course fee is Rs.90,600
- MBA: Minimum 60% aggregate in any stream + CAT. Course fee: Rs.1,56,000
- MCA: Aspirant must have done B. Sc or BCA with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Business Mathematics or BE/ B.Tech with minimum 60% aggregate + NIMCET. The course fee: Rs 1,80,000
- M.Plan: The minimum percentage achieved in B. Plan is 55% along with GATE. Course fee: Rs.90,460
- B.Sc: The minimum qualification is B.Sc with at least 60% aggregate in BSc and IIT JAM. The estimated course fee is Rs.40,000-71,000
