NPSC Recruitment 2023: NPSC is also called Nagaland Public Service Commission. This examination is conducted by the State of Nagaland. This examination is conducted in order to choose the candidates for the various administrative positions if the Nagaland government. Before applying for this examination, the candidates will have to check the eligibility criteria because otherwise there is a chance of the form getting rejected.
NPSC Recruitment 2023 Application Form:
You can apply for this examination online. There is no offline mode available. The candidates will have to send one application form per candidate. In case there are multiple forms, there is a high possibility for the forms to get rejected. In order to apply online, the candidates will have to follow the steps given below:
- The candidates will first have to visit the official website
- There you will have to look for the examination link
- You will then have to click on the online application form
- The application form has 2 parts
- In part 1 of the application form, the candidate will have to fill in the personal information
- You will then have to submit the form and get a reference id
- Then the candidate will have to move to part 2 of the application form. Here the candidate will have to submit all the important documents and also include scanned signatures and uploaded photos
- It is in this part that the application fee will also have to be paid
- Once this is submitted, the form cannot be changed. It is, therefore, a good idea to check all the important details twice before submitting
NPSC Application Fee:
- The application fee can be paid either online or offline
- In case the application fee is being paid offline, the candidate can pay the fee in any of the well-known SBI branches and get a challan that will work as an acknowledgment form. The same challan number will have to be entered in the application form
- If the candidate is applying offline, then the fee can be paid directly through credit or debit cards or through internet banking.
- The candidate will not be allowed to make the fee payment in any other mode.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The candidates who are applying for this examination will have to be an Indian citizen.
- The candidate needs to have a graduation degree from any recognized university
- If the candidate has any other three-year qualification that is similar and equivalent to graduation can also apply.
- In order to apply for this examination, the candidate should be between 21 to 30 years
- For the candidates belonging to the SC/ST category, there is an age relaxation of 5 years
- The candidates who are eligible to appear for the NPSC examination are as of now serving in some other government position, the age relaxation will be equal to the number of years for them to retire from their service. The number of years in service, however, cannot exceed 5 years
- The candidate will be able to take as many attempts as possible, the only important thing is that they will have to adhere to the upper age limit
Exam Pattern:
The NPSC recruitment examination is conducted in three different stages. The first will be the prelims, then the mains and finally the interview or the viva voce or the personality test.
Prelims Examination:
- The candidate will have to answer objective type questions
- The candidate will have to attempt multiple choice questions
- The answers will have to be properly written on the OMR sheet
- There is a maximum of 200 marks allotted to the preliminary examination
- One-third marks are deducted for selecting the wrong answer
Mains Examination:
- There are a total of three papers that you will have to attempt for your main examination
- Each of the papers will be allotted 200 marks
- The subjects that would be included are General Studies 1, General Studies 2 and General English
- The first and the third paper will be descriptive
- The second paper will have multiple-choice questions
- One-third of the marks will be deducted for selecting the wrong answer
Interview:
- Once the main examination is over, there will be a cut off marks decided based on the number of candidates who appeared for the examination and the level of toughness.
- The candidates who qualify will be called for the interview round.
- In the interview round the candidate will be screened based on the personality, interpersonal skills and also the suitability of the services.

Mains:
- For the General English, the candidate will be getting questions based on two common topics that are favorable either in the political, social or the economic spheres
- For General Studies 1, the candidates will have to prepare Indian history, Statistical analysis data, and all other state-related details. These may include History, Geography, social and economic features and also Science
- For the General Studies 2, the candidates will have detailed studies on the Indian constitution and administration, politics and laws, rules and regulations, economic structure, functioning of India, fiscal policies and financial growth, organization and the administrational structure of Nagaland
Interview:
For this round, there is no syllabus. The candidates will be asked questions from the social, economic, cultural and political sphere. The questions that the candidate will be asked will be based on their skills. They might also be questioned on the graduation level.

Admit Card:
Admit Card is a very important document that the candidates will have to carry with them to the examination hall. The admit card will have all the necessary details related to the examination. These may include reference id, exam duration, venue of the examination, and the name of the candidate. Moreover, the candidate should also have a photocopy of the admit card that will be there with him or her throughout. In order to download the admit card, the candidate will have to follow the steps mentioned below:
- First, the candidate will have to visit the official website
- Then there will be a link and the candidate will get an option to download the admit card from there
- You will have to provide all the necessary details
- If all the details are correct, then the admit card will be displayed
- Candidates should take a print of the admit card
- In case the candidate finds a mistake in the admit card, he or she needs to contact the concerned authority immediately.
