NSI Admission Test 2023: National Sugar Institute, Kanpur Uttar Pradesh releases applications for the Engineering Courses. This examination is conducted by the National Sugar Institute Govt. of India (NSI). This examination is held once a year at the national level. Its application will begin in July month. They provide admission for the courses like CERT (ENG), PGDIE, PGD, and ENG. You can apply for the examination online. On the official website of the institute, all information has been given www.nsi.gov.in/ [email protected]/ [email protected]. NSI Admission Test 2023 Application Form:

To apply for the examination you will have to complete the registration process. The application form will be released in April month. You can fill it online through the official website. Candidates are recommended to fill the application form on time before the last date.

  • After registration, you will get the registration number and password.
  • By using the Registration number and password you will be able to open the application form.
  • Fill all details like personal information, address and educational details.
  • After filling all details submit the dully-filled application form.
  • Now download the duly filled application form and take a print out of it.
  • Attach all Educational documents, signatures and photographs.
  • Make a demand draft and attach it to the form.
  • Post application form along with all documents to the following address Director, National Sugar Institute Kalyanpur Kanpur- 208017

Application Fee:

  • Application fee can be paid offline mode by making demand draft in the favor of “Director, National Sugar Institute” payable at Kanpur.
  • For the General category candidates fee is Rs. 1500/- and for SC/ST candidates fee is Rs. 1000/-
  • The application fee is nonrefundable in any condition.
  • It is recommended to pay the application fee before the last date of the submission of the application form

Eligibility Criteria:

The applicant is requested to read carefully all eligible instructions before applying for the examination. All the information is there in the information brochure. Some of the important points are as follows

Age Criteria: Maximum age criteria for Indians are 35 years as on 01 July 26, 2023, and for foreign category candidate’s maximum 38 years as of 01 July 26, 2023

Appearing Candidates and candidates who are waiting for results are also eligible to apply for the examination.

For ANSI (SE) in Sugar Engineering (PG Diploma): Candidates must have passed graduation in Engineering, Electrical, Production, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical and Electronics.

For ANSI (ST) in Sugar Technology (PG Diploma): Candidates must have passed graduation in Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

For DIFAT in Industrial Fermentation and Alcohol Technology (PG Diploma): Candidates must have passed graduation in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry and Biochemistry as one of subjects or B. tech in Biotechnology.

For DSPMM in Sugarcane Productivity & Maturity Management (PG Diploma): Candidates must have passed bachelors in Agriculture or PCM

For DIIPA in Industrial Instrumentation & Process Automation (PG Diploma):  Candidates must have degree or A.M.I.E in Electronics, instrumentation, electrical, applied electronics, communication, Instrumentation/electronics, instrumentation & Control.

For DQCES in Quality Control and Environmental Science: B.Sc. in Environmental Science and Biotechnology/ B. tech in Biotechnology/ PCM/PCB/PCZ

For SBCC in Sugar Boiling (Certificate Course): Candidates must have passed 10th in Science/ Agriculture. Also have 90 days experience of Pan Operation in a vacuum pan sugar factory along with nomination.

For SECC in Sugar Engineering (Certificate Course): Candidates hold diploma in Engineering/ Mechanical/ Production/ Electrical and Electronics.

For CCQC in Quality Control (Certificate Course): Candidates must have passed intermediate in Science stream (Compulsory Subject- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics)

For F.N.S.I. in Sugar Technology/ Sugar Chemistry/ F.N.S.I. in Sugar Engineering/ F.N.S.I. in Fermentation Technology: Candidates must have relevant experience in the same course which they have applied for.

Exam Pattern:

Question paper language is in both English and Hindi. It is multiple-choice questions will be there. The time duration allotted for the exam is 3 hours. The offline paper will take place.

Examination patterns are different as per the course applied for which is given below:

  • For ANSI SE: Question Paper will be based on the three subjects Electrical Engineering (25 questions), Mechanical/ Production Engineering (50 questions), Instrumental Engineering (25 questions)
  • For ANSI ST: Question paper will be based on the four subjects Physics (20 questions), Chemistry (40 questions), Mathematics (20questions), Chemical Engineering (20 questions)
  • For DIFAT: Question paper will be based on three subjects Chemistry (50 question), Biochemistry/ Biotechnology (25 questions), Industrial Chemistry and applied Chemistry (25 questions)
  • For SECC & CCPMM: Following topics will be covered in this are Pan Boiling (50questions), Mathematics and Science (50 questions)
  • For SBCC: In this section question paper will be based on the following topics Physics (20 questions), Chemistry (40 questions), Mathematics (20questions), Chemical Engineering (20questions).

Exam Syllabus:

Candidates are recommended to prepare for examination according to the course they are chosen. But generally should go through the following subjects and prepare according to that. for ANSI SE topics should be covered under Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Production/ mechanical engineering, Instrumental engineering. For ANSI ST topics should be covered under physics, chemistry, mathematics, chemical engineering. For DIFAT topics should be covered under Biotechnology, industrial chemistry, applied chemistry. For SECC topics should be covered under the pan boiling process, mathematics and science. For SBCC topics should be covered under the following subject’s chemistry, mathematics, chemical engineering.

Admit Card:

Admit card will be released after the submission of application details. In July month you will get to download the admit card through online. Go to the official page of the institution and click on the admit card link and by putting the applicant number and password you can download. Admit card is mandatory to appear in the examination. All important instructions for the examination are given on the admit card. Bring identity proof along with the admit card.

Result:

Results will be announced after the month of the examination. You can check and download by using Roll number and date of birth as password. Your total marks scored in the examination will be deciding the qualifying status of the examination. it is mandatory to keep a hard copy of the result till the admission process is completed.

Answer Key:

After the result announcement, the answer key of the examination will be released online so, you can download the answer key from the official website and match your answer with them. If any issue arises then you can drop a mail to the concern to clarify it. After the resolving issue, new updated answer key will be upload on the website.

Selection and Seat Matrix

Admission of the candidates will be based on the test marks and personal interviews. For foreign category candidates get admission on the basis of first come and first serve basis. A merit list for foreign candidates will be prepared on the basis of subjects to fulfilling educational background. Seat availability according to course wise are as follows ANSI(ST)- 66 seats, ANSI(SE)- 33 seats, DIFAT- 39 Seats, DSPMM- 20 seats, DQCES- 22 seats, SBCC- 63 seats, SECC- 17 seats, CCQC- 22 seats and in FNSI in sugar technology/chemistry/ engineering/ fermentation technology will be based on personal interview and as per the requirement of faculty.
