- For Bachelor Degree Programs (BDP), candidates must have successfully completed class XII from some recognized board of education.
- For B.Lib., the minimum eligibility should be I.Sc with at least minimum 40% marks.
- To gain PG admission, candidates must have successfully completed degree of graduation in the relevant discipline.
- Admission for all the undergraduate and postgraduate courses (excluding B.Spl.Ed.) will be given on first cum first serve basis.
- To acquire admission to B.Spl.Ed, the candidate must have completed graduation or post-graduation in Science, Social Science or Humanities with at least 50% marks.
- Those who are shortlisted for B.Spl.Ed. admission based on the marks attained in the entrance exam commenced by NSOU.
NSOU Fee Structure:
- For BA, date of registration will be from May 2023, the total fee will be Rs 1,500
- For B.Sc, total fee will be Rs 2,200
- For B.Spl.Ed, date of registration will be from June 2023, the total fee will be Rs 1,500
- For MA, date of registration will be from July – August 2023, the total fee will be Rs 4,435
- For M.Com, the total fee will be Rs 4,435
For BA Course in Bengali, the candidate must have successfully cleared class XII or an equivalent OR Passed BPP with PSS from this university or any other recognized university OR Passed 10+2 in any of the vocational courses. The selection will be based on the basis of merit. The duration will be 3 to 6 years.
For BA (History), candidate must have successfully cleared class XII, with minimum 50% marks in the English subject or an equivalent OR Passed BPP with PSS with at least 50% marks from this university or some other recognised university OR must have successfully cleared class XII with at least 40% marks in English in vocational courses.
For B.Sc., candidate must have passed class XII with at least 50% marks in the relevant subjects such as Botany, Mathematics, and Zoology
For B.Com., candidate must have successfully cleared class XII examination or equivalent or BPP with PCO from this university or some other recognised university.

NSOU PG Admission 2023:
NSOU provides various PG programs such as MA, M.Com., M.Sc., M.Lib.I.Sc., B.Lib.I.Sc. in various disciplines. The minimum eligibility in any of the post graduate courses is the degree of graduation in the relevant stream. The selection will be based on merit. Candidate can pay the application fee at any branch of Allahabad Bank.
- To do MA, the candidate must have done graduation (BA) in the relevant subject. The selection will be based on merit.
- To do MSW, the candidate must have done graduation in Bachelor’s of Social work
- To do M.Sc., it is important that the candidate must have done B.Sc. in the relevant subject.
- To opt for M.Lib.I.Sc., a candidate must have successfully completed B.Lib.I.Sc.
- To do M.Com., the candidate must have done Graduation in B.Com./BBA
Important to remember points:
- MA program is offered in so many specializations such as Political Science, Public Administration, Bengali, History, Education, English Language Teaching.
- Sc. program has the following specializations as Mathematics, Zoology and Geography.

NSOU B.Spl.Ed. Admissions 2023
The university provides a Bachelor of special education program in 3 different disciplines and they are Hearing Impairment, Visual Impairment, and Mental Retardation. A candidate must have a degree of graduation or degree or post-graduation in the related field to apply for the program with % aggregate marks. The admission is based entirely on candidates’ scores in the entrance test commenced by the university.
For Courses such as B.Spl.Ed., the candidate must have done graduation or post-graduation in Science, Social Science or Humanities with at least 50% marks. The selection will be done as per the University Entrance Test
Important Points to Remember:
- Candidates those who have 4 years or 3 years degree in Bachelor of Engineering program with 55% marks can also apply for B.Spl.Ed.
