NTSE Punjab 2024: NTSE shortened for National Talent Search Examination is the most prestigious exam at the high school level in India. The exam is commenced for students in class X only. NTSE aims to find out highly intellectual and talented students for higher studies by providing scholarships at different stages. NTSE Punjab 2024 Application Form:

To apply for NTSE Punjab 2024, follow the given below steps:

  • First, go to State/UT education board website.
  • Now, read the NTSE notification/instructions before applying for the NTSE exam.
  • Download the application form.
  • Start filling the important information in the application form and attach the documents

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Those who are studying in Class X in some recognized school may appear for NTSE Punjab. Those who are registered under Open Distance Learning (ODL) may also apply for the scholarship.
  • The candidate’s age should be at least 18 years (as of 1st July of the specific year)
  • Applicant must not be employed and he/she is appearing in class X exam for the first time.

Cut Off Category-Wise:

  • General: 132
  • OBC: 110
  • SC: 98
  • ST: 89
  • EWS: 81

Exam Pattern:

The NTSE Exam Pattern Stage 1 Examination: The exam can be attempted in either Hindi or English language. The candidate will receive 1 mark on every correct answer. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.

Part 1 – Mental Ability Test (MAT)

  • This section consisted of 100 questions overall.
  • It covers the topics such as series, pattern perception, analogies, coding-decoding, classifications, hidden figures and problem-solving, etc.
  • The applicant will get 2 hours to complete the paper.

Part 2 – Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)

  • SAT section comprises 100 questions which are segregated into the following:

Science (40 questions)

Social Science (40 questions)

Mathematics (20 questions)

  • The candidate will get 2 hours to complete SAT section.
  • The level of questions will be equal to class X or equivalent exam.

Syllabus:

If you are planning to appear in NTSE Punjab 2024 then you must have complete information about the syllabus in detail. The syllabus consisted of the topics covered in classes IX and X. The SAT Scholastic Aptitude Test comprises questions based on the subjects such as Social Science, Science, and Mathematics.

NTSE Scholarships:

In the year 2019, the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) announced the scholarships from 1000 to 2000. Based on NTSE Examination, 2000 scholarships will be awarded each year.

  • SC: 15%
  • ST: 7.5%
  • Other Backward Classes: 27%
  • Economically Weaker Sections: 10%
  • Physically Challenged: 4%

Scholarship Amount:

  • Monthly Scholarship of Rs.1250/- for classes XI and XII
  • Monthly Scholarship of Rs.2000/- for Undergraduates and Postgraduates students
