Oak Grove School Dehradun Admission 2022: Oak Grove School, is an English medium co-educational residential school in Dehradun. This school was established in the year 1988 and is run by the Northern railways. It is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education. It follows the 10 +2 system of education. This school is spread across an area of 100 acres and the teacher-student ration here is 1:15. The total number of students in the school is 600 and the admission opens in the month of September. Students trying to get admission between classes III to classes XII can opt for this school. There are a number of facilities provided by the school. These include playground, hospital, Science lab, computer lab, library, etc. Apart from these facilities the school also has extra-curricular activities and these include painting, art, music, carpentry, dancing, debating, and also Sanskrit. The faculties in this school are highly qualified and are experts in their respective fields. Though the medium of instruction of this school is English, however, Hindi is also taught as a compulsory language. In order to get promoted to the next class, it is essential to have adequate knowledge in Hindi.

Class tests are conducted on a regular basis. Apart from the class tests, the students will have to appear for two-terminal tests and one final examination. There are a total of three streams offered at the secondary level- Humanities, Science and Commerce. The choice of the stream would depend on the offer provided by the school and also on the marks that the student gets. As an optional subject, you can also choose a computer at the Senior secondary level.  The school does not have options for private tuitions, however, if required students can take extra classes from the school teachers by paying an extra amount.

The candidates will have to fill up the online application form and will also have to make the fee payment online.  In order to get admission in class III, the child will have to be between 7 and 9 years as on the 31st of March of that particular year. The admission is based on the entrance test. The candidates who get shortlisted are called for an interview. In order to get admission in class XI also, the candidate will have to appear for an entrance test. The documents that will be required are as follows:

• The tuition fee for the wards of the Railway employees is Rs. 12000, the boarding fee is Rs. 24000, the Development fee is Rs. 10,000, the computer fee is Rs. 4000, the sundry charges are Rs. 20,000. The total fee charged is Rs. 70,000.
• The tuition fee for the wards of the non-railway employees is Rs. 60, 000 for tuition fees, the boarding charges are Rs. 86,000, the development fee is Rs. 10,000, the computer fee is Rs. 4000, the sundry charges are Rs. 20,000. The total fee is Rs. 1,80,000.
• The application fee for the children of the employees of the Oak Grove school staff is Rs. 20,000 for the boarders and Rs. 12000 for the day scholars.

Session and the vacations:

The session of the school is from April to March. There are two vacations. One is from the 3rd of June to 23rd June and the second is from 1st December to 31st January. The school has certain facilities like laboratories, libraries and play areas. The classrooms are also very well-ventilated.
