Osmania University Admission 2023 Application Form:
Fill the application form mentioned on the official website. Fill all the personal and academic details. Make sure that you fill the details carefully because if you fill incorrect details then your form may lead to cancellation.
Eligibility Criteria:
If you are applying for B.A./ B.Com./ B.Sc. then the candidate must have passed Intermediate (10+2) Exams from some relevant stream held by the Board of Intermediate Exams, Andhra Pradesh or any other equivalent Board of Education.
If you are applying for M.A. English then the candidate must have attained a degree the examination attained 40% marks in aggregate under part II and must have studied the concerned language either in Part I or Part II of the qualifying examination.
If you are applying for P.G. Diploma in Museology then the candidate must have passed MA (AIHC&A) with at least 50% marks with Museology as one of the subjects of study
OR
Must have passed MA History with Medieval History paper specialization with at least 50% marks
To apply for BBA, the candidate must have passed class XII examination from any of the stream held by the Board of Intermediate Exams, Andhra Pradesh or any other equivalent Board of Education.
To apply for BSW, then-candidate must have passed class XII Examination from any stream held by the Board of Intermediate Exams, Andhra Pradesh or any other equivalent Board of Education.
To apply for BSW, then-candidate must have passed SSC or it’s equivalent.
To apply for M.Sc., then-candidate must have passed B Sc. with not then less 40% marks (for SC &ST candidates) in the concerned Science subjects – Physical Sciences & Mathematics for MPC group OR Physical Sciences & Biological Sciences, for BZC group as the case may be.
To apply for MFC, the then-candidate must have passed B.Com (all streams) with 40% in aggregate under part II.
To apply for M. Phil., you must have passed a Master’s Degree in the concerned subject OR in an allied subject securing at least 55% marks.
Osmania University Application Fee:
- The candidate is required to pay TS/AP online centers or via (Credit / Net Banking/ Debit Cards).
- The registration fee for a single subject will be Rs.500/- for OBC candidates.
- The registration fee for a single subject will be Rs.375/- for ST/PH/SC candidates.
- If a candidate wanted to apply for the additional subjects, the fee will be Rs.300/- for all categories.
- Upload scanned image of photograph and signature along with caste and income certificate.
- Take a print out of the application form before the final submission.

Exam Pattern:
The examination will be commenced in the online mode.
- The examination timings will be 90 minutes.
- The exam will be commenced only in the English language.
- There will be a total of 100 questions in the examination.
- The exam will be for 100 marks.
- There will be Objective type questions in the examination.
Exam pattern for seeking admission in M.Sc. Biochemistry, forensic science, environmental science, genetics & microbiology is given below:
- Part A, Chemistry will be for 40 marks.
- Part B, Physics, Zoology, genetics, Botany, Microbiology, & biochemistry will be for 60 marks.
Exam pattern for M.Sc. Biotechnology:
- Part A, Chemistry will be for 40 marks.
- Part B, Biotechnology will be for 60 marks.
Osmania University Syllabus:
The examination syllabus will differ from one course to the other. This will be released by Osmania University. Through the syllabus, the candidate will get aware of the topics appearing in the examination.
Examination Center details:
There are several exam centers selected by Osmania University. Candidates can select the centre as per their choice and preference during the time of registration. The list of the exam centers will be Karimnagar, Kodad, Adilabad, Hyderabad, Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Khammam, Nizamabad, Ranga Reddy, Siddipet, and Warangal.
Admit Card:
Admit card will consist of details such as date of birth, name, roll number, and exam centre. Candidates will login by making use of user ID & password. Candidates are required to carry admit card during the time of exam at the exam center. No candidates are permitted to appear in the examination hall without admit card. It is crucial for candidates to affix a passport size photograph in the space provided in the admit card. Candidates will carry their ID Proof such as Aadhar card, pan card, photo ID proof, etc. along with the admit card.
Exam Result:
The examination result will be provided via online mode. It will be released in the first week of July 2023. Candidates can check the result using a user ID and password. There will no proviso like post or courier for receiving the exam result. Make sure to take the print out of the result for further reference.
Cut Off details:
Cut Off denotes the minimum marks attained by the candidate to meet the eligibility to appear in other important rounds such as counselling & admission. The cut-off for OC/ BC category in the entrance test for any course consisted of 25% of the entrance test. However, there will be no cut-off for reserved category candidates. The cut-off depends upon the difficulty level of the entrance test, the total number of applicants, no. of seats offered & maximum marks acquired in the examination.
Counselling Round:
Counselling will start from the second week of July 2023 and eligible candidates will seek admission in several courses via web counselling procedure. Candidates will be provided with the option to submit the counselling fee via online mode or offline mode. Candidates are required to carry the following mentioned documents for counseling:
- SSC certificate
- Rank card
- Hall ticket
- Transfer certificate
- Original certificate
- Proof of local/ non-local status
- Community certificate
- Income certificate, etc.
