Applicants can do online registration on the official website of the Board Of Secondary Education or BSE. This registration for OSSTET 2023 has been started from 1st July 2023. The candidate must go through all the details regarding the required eligibility for appearing in the examination.
Only after the online registration do candidates have to submit the application fees. If a candidate has registered earlier then there will be no need for further registration they can easily login with their email id password. Candidates need to furnish their details along with education qualification and postal address in the application form along with a passport size photograph. Candidates must take a printed copy of this filled application form for further use. They need not have to send the hard copy to the university.
Candidates have to pay Rs.500 as an application fee for submitting the application form And the examination fee if Rs.300/- for the ST, SC category of candidates.

The basic criteria required for a candidate to seat for OSSTET 2023 is that he/she must be well conversant in Odia language both in reading and writing. Candidates must complete their Higher Secondary Examination from the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, or any other recognized board in Odisha with Odia as aIst/ 2nd or 3rd language subject. Odia needs to be a candidate’s compulsory subject for both the 10th and 12th standards as well. Candidates who wish to be Hindi, Urdu, Telegu and Sanskrit teachers must qualify class 7 Odia exam for OSSTET 2023. There are requirements for two categories in OSSTET:
For OSSTET 2023 there will be two papers. Paper-I will have Science, TGT Arts, Language/Classical Teachers. Paper-II is for PET teachers.

Paper-II is for Physical Education Teachers which includes 4 sections with Odia, English, C.P Ed. Course contents, Child Development, Pedagogy, School Management, and Evaluation for 150 marks.
The Syllabus can be downloaded from the official site by the candidates to have a complete view of all the subjects included in the examination.
The OSSTET admit card for OSSTET 2023 will be issued in November 2023 just a month before the exams which will commence from December 2023. The admit cards can only be downloaded from the official website There will be no other choices to gain the admit cards in hard copy format through post or by any offline method. The admit card will only be delivered to the candidates who will positively complete the application form including the fees submission part as well.
Admit cards will be available in the official website bseodisha.nic.in. It helps the candidate to sit for the examination so it is of immense importance to them. Candidates must take it to the examination center as without a valid admit card he/she will not be allowed to give the examination. OSSTET admit card will have a candidate’s name, registration number, Date of Birth, name of the exam center, date of admission test, and the exam time. Candidates also must take any id proof along with them in the examination hall. Aadhar Card/Pan Card/Passport/Ration Card/Driving License/Voter ID etc. A candidate has to carry with his/her admit card.
The answer key gives all the answers to the questions asked in the examination paper. Immediately after the completion of the examination candidates can have the answer key from the official website. At that time candidates can object to any answers provided in the answer key. The answers will then be cross-checked by the officials to provide an appropriate explanation to the candidates who have raised objections. The final answer key will only be announced after all the objections have been sorted out.
Candidates can check their results via online mode through the official website in February. To know the result the candidate has to log in with his/her registration number and date of birth.
The cut-off marks for the successful candidates will be 60% under the general category and 50% for reserved categories.
