OTETOTET 2023: OTET examination is a very important examination for the candidates who want to become teachers in the state of Orissa. But the important thing that you will have to remember here is that getting through this examination does not guarantee you a job. It is simply the eligibility criteria for this job. Without passing this examination, you will not be able to apply for the job. If you have cleared your class XII board examination or graduation you can certainly appear for the OTET examination.

OTET 2023 Application Form:

The application form for the OTET 2023 has been released on February 2023 and the last date for submitting the application form will be March 2023. The last date for the application will not be extended. So if you want to appear for this examination in the year 2023, make sure that you pay the application fee by March 2023. The application fee will be Rs.500 and should be done with the help of an e-challan.

Steps To Fill The OTET 2023 Application Form:

  • You will first have to click on the link: http://www.bseodisha.nic.in/
  • The best option is to open the link in Google Chrome or Firefox. You can also open it in other browsers.
  • Here you will get an option that says “Application Form OTET 2023”. You will have to click on that particular option.
  • Then you will have to click on the registration button and then click on it as well.
  • Fill in all the important details including the Name, Date of birth, educational qualification, and other details. You need to ensure that you do not make any mistakes here.
  • Once you successfully submit the application form, there will be a number along with a password that will be generated.
  • It is good to take a print of the application form for future use.

Eligibility Criteria:

Category A ( Paper 1):

  • You will have to pass the intermediate examination or an examination that is equivalent to it. The minimum marks that you will have to get are 50% and along with that, you will also have to pass a diploma of 2 years in elementary education.

or

  • The candidate has to complete 10+2+3 in any of the streams and also complete a diploma of elementary education for 2 years. This can be either a diploma for elementary education or special education.

Category B ( Paper-II):

  • 10+2+3 with at least 50% marks and along with it a one-year diploma in B.Ed.

or

  • 10+2+3 with a minimum of 50% marks and also a one-year B.Ed with Special Education.

or

  • You can complete an intermediate examination with a minimum of 50% marks and four years for B.A Ed/BSc. Ed.

There is a relaxation of 5% for all the candidates who belong to the SC, ST, OBC/ SEBC category.

OTET 2023 Exam Pattern:

You will only have to attempt objective type questions and the pattern for the examination will be as follows:

  • There will be two papers of the OTET viz- Paper-I and Paper-II.
  • The total duration of the test in each paper shall be 2½ hours.
  • All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
  • The question papers in non-language subjects shall be bilingual i.e. in Odia and English.
  • Each carrying one mark with four alternatives out of which one answer is correct
  • There shall be no negative marking.

  • Child Development and Pedagogy – 30 Questions- 30 marks
  • Language -1 , Oriya/Urdu – 30 questions – 30 marks
  • Language – 1, Oriya/Urdu – 30 questions – 30 marks
  • Hindi/Telegu/Bengali – 30 Questions – 30 marks
  • Language – 2 (English) – 30 Questions – 30 marks
  • Language -2  (English) – 30 questions – 30 marks
  • Mathematics- 30 questions – 30 marks
  • Environmental Studies – 30 questions – 30 marks

Admit Card:

The candidates who will complete the registration process will be able to get the admit card. This admit card will have all the relevant details. These details include the name, the roll number, the dates, and also the venue and the examination timings. On the admit card, you will have the complete address of the venue. You will also have all the instructions that you will have to follow in the examination hall. This is the most important document. It is therefore important for you to keep it safe.

Here are the steps that you will need to download the admit card

  • Visit the official website of OTET i.e,  bseodisha.nic.in
  • You will get an “Examination Tab” there. Then follow the examination link.
  • After this, you need to press the link the to admit card and then download it
  • The details of the registration number along with the name of your father and also the password have to be entered.
  • There will be an option that says, ” View my admit Card”. Click on it and you will get the admit card on your screen.
  • Get the admit card downloaded and save it.

Answer Key:

The OMR answer sheets and also the OTET answer key will be released by the BSE Odisha. You will get 2 separate answer keys for Paper 1 and Paper 2. By clicking on the link on the website the candidate will be able to check the answer sheets. The candidates can also raise objections against this particular key against the payment of 500. Finally based on the final answer key, the result of OTET will be declared.

Result:

To view the OTET 2023 Result the candidate has to go to the official website and use their registered account to view the result. OTET 2023 Answer Key will determine the results. The common OTET merit list will be released for the SC/ST, Reservation, Special Reservation, PWD candidates.

Cut Off:

Along with the result declaration, the OTET 2023 will also declare the cut-off marks online. There are the minimum marks that the candidates have to get if they have to qualify for the examination.
