Panjab University Admission 2024: In the year of 1882 Punjab University was established at Lahore (Earlier in Pakistan).It can acclaim the first University in India and 38th in Asia. As a State University under the University Grant Commission, the university initiated its activity from Chandigarh. Panjab University Admission 2024 Application Form:

There are various types of application forms for various courses.  The official website will provide detail information about the application form availability date. The complete application procedure for Punjab University is conducted online. Candidate should fill the form tentatively by 3rd week of May 2024 as there may not be any correction facility after submitting the form. At the very outset, some essential steps should be taken in downloading and uploading the filled application form. The process involves online registration, filling up of application form, uploading of scanned images, and payment of application fee as per the instruction of the authority. Keeping in mind for further use of application form one printed version of all the said items should be enclosed to the application form while uploading it.

Panjab University Application Fees:

The aforesaid fee for application can be paid online via debit/credit card/net banking and also through   SBI- e.challan. The amount of fees in different group can be obtained by downloading the official brochure of Punjab University.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidate must be a citizen of India and having attained minimum 17 years in the admission year.
• A passed certificate of 12th level or equivalent from any recognized board/university.
• The least qualifying score will be 50% in 12th grade for general candidates.
• For ST/SC/OBC/PWD category the qualifying score will be 45% marks as considered by the University.
• Qualifying marks are focused on the subjects in 12th level ie. Physics, Chemistry, English with anyone subject to be preferred among Mathematics/Biology/Biotechnology.

Panjab University Exam Pattern:

Entrants will appear in the examination to be commenced in the offline mode. here are the exam pattern details:

• Paper will be consisted of Multiple Choice Questions
• The paper will be for 1 hour and 10 minutes duration. However, students in the PWD category will get 1 hour 30 to complete the paper.
• Candidate will receive 2 marks for a correct answer and there will be a deduction of 0.5 marks for an incorrect answer.

Syllabus:

It is recommended that standard of setting questions would be followed as per 11th and 12th class curriculum. Various topics will be formulated from the subjects Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. More details about the syllabus can be acquired from the official website.

Admit Card:

On the website by applying the login details the admit card can be acquired. Admit card for Punjab University Admission will be available in the last week of May. There is no other means to get this admit card except the online mode. Details of the examination and name of the appearing student could be learnt from this admit card.

Result:

In the month of June 2024 students will be able to avail the result by using their login details. There is no other system to deliver separate scorecards to the candidate directly only except online mode.

Counselling:

The eligible aspirants will appear before the counselling committee in the month of June 2024. The whole system will be conducted online mode. Several rounds for counselling will be attended by the candidate. It is essential to register themselves for counselling online. They will also inform their preferred course. All documents/certificates have to be submitted for verification at the time of counselling.

Cut Off:

The minimum marks required to get qualified in the entrance test by a candidate is termed as cutoff mark. It is not uniform for all candidates but varies category wise and this process is adopted by the authority of the university. This cutoff mark is the eligible mark candidates are expected to score in order to participate in the counselling stage. On the merit list of cutoff mark candidates will be called for counselling.
