Presidency University Admission 2023: The admission test is organised every year by Presidency University for enrolling candidates in their undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Presidency University is one of the prestigious Universities in Kolkata, West Bengal which organizes PUBDET and PUMDET entrance tests to provide admission in UG and PG courses conducted by the University. Presidency University Admission 2023 Application Form:
Candidates can go through the details about the application form of Presidency University 2023 entrance test as mentioned below:
- Application form for PUBDET will be published in January 2nd week and the PUMDET candidates can avail the application forms from the second week of March 2023.
- The application form will be available via online mode.
- Candidates have to complete the application form carefully providing all necessary information regarding personal and educational details.
- Applicants have to upload a signature and passport-size photograph in the application form.
- The photograph must be within 3 kb to 100 kb in size and the signature size needs to be within 3 to 30 kb.
- The correction facility for the application forms will take place from February,2nd week 2023 for the undergraduate applicants.
- Undergraduate applicants can complete their application form by the first week of February 2023 and postgraduate applicants need to complete the application procedure by the final week of March 2023.
- Candidates have to take printed copies of the filled application for future reference.
- The essential documents comprise of the Demand Draft of the Application Fees, a certificate of qualifying class 10th examination, nationality, and certificate of the category a student belongs to needs to be uploaded while submitting the application form.

- Presidency University Admission 2023 Application fee transactions can only be done online mode by credit card, debit card, or net banking.
Presidency University 2023 Eligibility Criteria:
The eligibility criteria of the candidates enrolling for this entrance are as follows:
- Applicable for Indian nationals only
- Higher Secondary certification from any recognized board for UG applicants
- Postgraduate candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from any reputed academic organisation/institution.
- This entrance examination can be attended by candidates under any age group.
- Candidates pertaining to international boards with ‘A’ Level must have a minimum of 3 subjects in their IGCSE inter for UG candidates.
- Criteria for marks will be dissimilar depending on the selection of course and category.
- Candidates pertaining to the reserved category must have a residential certificate of West Bengal.
Syllabus:
- The entrance test will be on class XI and XII syllabus of different renowned boards or councils for UG courses.
- Mathematics will cover coordinate geometry, algebra, trigonometry, calculus etc based on the Senior Secondary syllabus.
- For Physics it will be units and measurements, Laws of Motion, Friction, etc as in the syllabus for Senior Secondary.
- Chemistry syllabus will comprise of atoms and molecules, radioactivity and so on as per the syllabus of class X and XII.

Exam Pattern:
PUBDET:
English will be the medium of the test except for Hindi and Bengali language as vernacular subjects. Candidates need to answer multiple-choice questions/MCQ. Each question will have four options. Each paper will have 50 questions to be completed within 1 ½ hour. This 100 marks question paper will have one correct answer among four options. Each correct entry will carry 2 marks and for each incorrect answer, .25 will be deducted. If somebody answers more than one option then also .25 will be subtracted and the answer will be treated wrong by the authority. No marks will be deducted for not answering a question.
PUMDET:
In order to apply for the PG courses except for Bengali, English, Geography and Mathematics, all other subjects will have MCQ type questions to be answered within 2 hours. But for these above-mentioned subjects, PUMDET candidates have to attend both MCQ and written scheduled for 2hours.
Admit Card:
The admit card for WBJEE PUB DET and PUMDET 2023 will be announced through the online method. Candidates need to login to the official website to get the same. Candidates will get the admit cards just a few days before the exam commences in May. The admit cards will only be distributed to the candidates who have finished the form successfully before the stipulated due date. In order to download the admit card applicants must check the official website and press the link to admit card. In the new window, candidates have to give their application id number or date of birth. Applicants can download it after going through all the information provided in the admit card. Candidates can immediately approach the officials for any wrong entry in the admit card. Candidates must carry the printed admit card downloaded from the website along with them to the examination centre as without a valid admit card he/she will not be allowed to appear in the examination. PUBDET and PUMDET admit cards will have candidate’s name, registration number, Date of Birth, name of the exam centre, date of admission test and exam time.
Result:
WBJEE PUB DET candidates can check their results in the official. Results will be available on the official website. It is an important document containing all the details of marks acquired by a candidate in the entrance examination organised by the university. By using the login id and password candidates have to download their results. They must take a hard copy printed version of the result for future use. On the basis of results, a merit list will be prepared by the university authorities immediately after the entrance results are out. The merit list will be separate for each and every course. This merit list is basically the names of the candidates who got qualified for counselling round.
Cut Off:
The cut off marks depend on the number of applicants giving the examination.
- The cut off is also dependent on the number of vacant posts in every year
- The RPSC commission decides the cut-off percentage.
- The cut off depends on the level of the question paper.
- Candidates belonging to different categories have different cut off marks
