PSU Through GATE Exam: From the last years, it has become a trend that recruitment by PSU via GATE has been recommended after GATE process starts. The number of applicants applying for GATE increasing day by day and scores achieved in GATE all matters for seeking admission into reputed companies like Power Grid, ONGC, BPCL, HPCL, IOCL, etc. More information about the exam is mentioned below: IIT Madras usually commences GATE in the month of February and for which application form is available from the month of August till September. Candidates can apply via online mode by paying the fee by the month of October. The admit card can also be collected in the month of January and results can be attained in the month of March.

For example, BSNL does not conduct an interview for BSNL JTO recruitment but NTPC conducts a test for further shortlisting.

Types of PSUs:

PSU in India has been divided into three heads and these heads are based on various parameters such as Indian Stock Exchange, annual revenue, global presence, and income generated.

• Navaratna PSU’s
• Maharatna PSU’s

Eligibility Criteria:

In addition to required GATE scores in the GATE paper, PSU further considers some eligibility criteria which include pass percentage or CGPA acquired during graduation, certain age limit, a medical certificate to test the fitness. Indian nationals will be considered eligible for PSU recruitment through GATE. However, candidates having Color blindness are not eligible for PSU recruitment in most cases.

There are specific links that a candidate needs to use for applying. You need to be ready with GATE details, photograph, and signature and payment options for an application form. Avail GATE registration number and collect admit card in the month of January.

Counseling:

• There will be no centralized counselling by the authority for admission to Post Graduate courses.
• The candidate is required to apply for every IIT.
• CCMT (Centralized Counseling for M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan admissions) will be conducted for seeking admission to several NITs and many other centrally funded institutes.
• Counseling will begin in the month of April via online mode.
• Candidates, who have a relevant GATE scorecard of the last three years can apply for counseling.
• During counseling registration, fill in the choices of colleges & courses according to preferences.
• Allotment of the seat is based on rank, filled choices, category, availability of seats, etc.
