Punjab Civil Services Exam 2023 Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidate must be a citizen of India, Bhutan, or Nepal.
• The age of the candidate must be between 21 to 37 years.
• Candidate must have completed graduation from any recognized institute.
• Those who are appearing in graduation can also apply for Punjab Civil Services Examination 2023.
• Appearing candidates are eligible to give only Preliminary examination.
• Candidate must have passed the Punjabi exam up to matriculation level.
• The age limit of the candidate should between 21 to 28 years for DSP and Deputy Superintendent Jails/District Probation Officer as on 01.01.2023.
• The age limit of the candidate should between 21 to 37 years for other posts as on 01.01.2023.
• For the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police and Deputy Superintendent of Jails (Grade-II)/ District Probation Officer (Jails), candidate need to fulfill the following requirements:
• Minimum Height for men should be 5 feet 7 inches
• Minimum Height for women should be 5 feet 3 inches
• Chest Measurement for men only Unexpended 33 inches
• Chest Measurement for women only expended 34.5 inches

Exam Pattern:

Exam pattern for Preliminary Exam:

• There will be two papers in the Punjab Civil Services Exam 2023 preliminary examination
• The candidate needs to solve 180 questions.
• The paper will be for 4OO marks.
• There will be no negative marking.
• Paper –I (General Studies) includes topics like Political theory & international order, Indian polity, Everyday Science, Environmental Studies, History of India, Indian Economy, Geography, Current events of national and international importance, Punjab
• Paper-II (Civil Services Aptitude Test) includes topics such as Aptitude Test, Reading comprehension, Basic numerical skills, Data analysis, Logical reasoning, and interpersonal skills.

• Paper Ist includes English for 1OO marks.
• Paper IInd includes Punjabi (in Gurmukhi Script) for 1OO marks. IInd
• Paper IIIrd includes Essay (To be attempted either in Punjabi or English) for 1OO marks.
• Paper IVth includes General Studies Paper for 1OO marks.
• Paper Vth includes General Studies Paper for 1OO marks.
• Paper VIth Optional Subject I, Paper I for 1OO marks.
