The selection procedure to fill the posts in various departments of the Punjab Civil Services Exam 2022. The exam will be commenced in three different stages such as:
About Punjab Civil Services Exam 2022 Preliminary Exam Pattern:
Note: Both the papers will be Objective Type with Multiple Choice Questions. The time duration for both exams will be 120 minutes and extra 20 minutes will be initiated to visually impaired candidates. There will be no negative marking in the written test. The question paper will be bilingual and printed in Roman Script and Punjabi script.
Punjab PCS Main Examination:
If you have applied for the post like Deputy Superintendent of Police and Deputy Superintendent of Jails (Grade-II)/ District Probation Officer (Jails) then candidates are required to go through various tasks like Race and for male candidates, it will be 1600 meters race: To be completed within 07 minutes 30 seconds (only one attempt) and for women, it will 800 meters race: To be completed within 04 minutes 45 seconds (only one attempt)
Papers will be descriptive and the duration for each paper will be 180 minutes. Visually impaired candidates will get an extra 30 minutes for each paper. All seven papers are mandatory to attempt.

The interview shall be conducted for only those candidates who qualify based on their performance in the main competitive examination and who fulfill the criteria of eligibility. Names of qualified candidates shall be arranged in order of merit according to the aggregate marks obtained in the main written examination and the interview.
