SCRA 2022: The first and the foremost exam that UPSC conducting. The year 2022 is UPSC SCRA 2022-23 shortened for Special Class Railway Apprentice (SCRA Full Form). The aim of the exam is to choose the applicants as Special Class Railway Apprentices for the mechanical department in Indian Railways. Examination pattern consisted of subjects such as Maths, Chemistry, English Language, Psychological Test, and General Knowledge. After this exam gets over, the candidate will call to appear in the next level exam. Which comprises of the Interview and Medical Examination.

Eligibility Criteria for SCRA 2022 Exam:

The age limit to appear in the exam is a minimum of 17 years and maximum of 22 years to become. The part of UPSC SCRA Examination

Educational Qualification Needed:

Candidate should 12th pass with scores of 1st or 2nd division from any of the boards approved by the Indian Government. Compulsory subjects will be Maths and a minimum of one of the subjects either Chemistry or Physics. Those who are applying for the exam after graduation level should have degree papers available as proof. Those who are applying after clearing the 1st year examination of graduation in rural services of Council for Rural Higher Education or 3rd year examination and looking forward to getting promoted to the 4th year of BA/B.Sc (evening college) course of Madras University with Maths and at least 1 subject among Chemistry and Physics.

Else, Should have done the first year pre-engineering examination with 1st or 2nd division approved by Indian Government. Should have cleared with the pre-technological exam or pre-professional examination with 1st division. Also, Clear Exam 2nd division with subjects like Maths and anyone amongst Chemistry and Physics.

Else, Passed out 1st-year examination if applied for a 5-year engineering degree course at the university level.

Else, Passed out pre-degree examination of Kerala or Calicut University with the 2nd division or 1st division with Maths and any of the subjects from Chemistry and Physics.

Physical Capability:

The applicant before applying for Railway Apprentice Exam ensures having a fit body to admit for the examination.

Nationality Factor:

The candidate should have the nationality of Nepal or Bhutan or can be a Tibetan refugee who came to India before Jan 01, 1962 with the purpose to become a permanent resident of India.
Person came to India from Burma, Kenya, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Malawi, Zambia, Zaire, Ethiopia, United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, and Vietnam to become a permanent citizen of India. All above qualification requirement for SCRA.

What Happens Next After Training Period?

The training period of four years begins immediately after the selection process gets over. Training for mechanical engineering in an institute MOU with BIT located in Mesra, Ranchi will get started. Once the training period gets over, applicants will have provision for acquiring a bachelor of engineering degree in Mechanical engineering after that quickly join as IRSME.
