SSC CGL 2023: The Staff Selection Commission is responsible for choosing eligible candidates to fill various posts in different ministries, departments, and government organizations via the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination. This selection is subject to the availability of vacancies in said administrative and public offices and ministries. The examination is held in two tiers, namely Tier I and II. SSC CGL 2023 Application Form:

• The Application Form is available from April to May 2023, on the Official website of SSC.
• Before filing the application form, a candidate must have an Adhar card number, a Marks card of a Bachelor’s degree, scanned copies of the candidate’s signature, photograph, and online payment authentication details.
• First candidates have to register on the SSC official portal.
• Then fill out the Application Form.
• If a candidate is unable to pay online, he/she may choose to pay in cash the fee of Rs 100 (exempted for female/SC/ST) the next day by generating the pay-in-slip.
• Once the payment is made, the transaction ID and commission number of the bank provided are given at the link to proceed with the registration of Part II.

Steps to fill the Application Form:

• Then Register using your mobile number, and email id.
• Then use your Register ID login and fill out the Application Form.
• Fill in all the details carefully and then upload the necessary documents like photographs and signatures.
• At last Review, the application form once again to check for any mistakes
• Fill in the payment details for the application fee.
• Take the Print out of the Application Form for future reference.

SSC CGL 2023 Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit:

A candidate must be an Indian citizen and aged between 18 to 30 years(with effect from 2023) to apply to any of the mentioned posts.

Educational Qualification:

Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer:

• Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
• Desirable Qualifications: Chartered Accountant or Cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics.
• During the period of probation direct recruits shall have to qualify the “Subordinate Audit/ Accounts Service Examination” in respective branches for confirmation and regular appointment as Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer.

Junior Statistical Officer:

• Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level; Or
• Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level.

Statistical Investigator Grade-II:

• Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognized University or Institute. The candidates must have studied Statistics as a subject in all three years or all 6 semesters of the graduation course.

Research Assistant in National Human Rights Commission (NHRC):

• Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
• Desirable Qualifications: Minimum one-year research experience in any recognized university or recognized Research Institution;
• Degree in Law or Human Rights from a recognized university.

All other Posts:

• Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
• The candidates who have appeared in the final year of their graduation can also apply, however they must possess Essential qualification on or before the cut-off date i.e.08-10-2022.

SSC CGL 2023 Exam Pattern:

The Computer Based Examination will be conducted in two tiers as indicated below:

• Tier: I

Tier-I Exam Pattern:

• Tier-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions.
• The questions will be set both in English & Hindi except for English Comprehension.
• There will be a negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer.

Module-I of Section-II of Paper-I (English Language And Comprehension):

Vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, and their correct usage; Spot the Error, Fill in the Blanks, Synonyms/ Homonyms, Antonyms, Spellings/ Detecting mis-spelt words, Idioms & Phrases, One word substitution, Improvement of Sentences, Active/ Passive Voice of Verbs, Conversion into Direct/ Indirect narration, Shuffling of Sentence parts, Shuffling of Sentences in a passage, Cloze Passage, Comprehension Passage. To test comprehension, three or more paragraphs will be given and questions based on those will be asked. At least one paragraph should be a simple one based on a book or a story and the other two paragraphs should be on current affairs, based on a report or an editorial.

Module-II of Section-II of Paper-I (General Awareness):

Questions are designed to test the candidates’ general awareness of the environment around them and its application to society. Questions are also designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General policy, and scientific research.

Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I (Computer Proficiency):

• Computer Basics: Organization of a computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU), input/ output devices, computer memory, memory organization, back- up devices, PORTs, Windows Explorer. Keyboard shortcuts.
• Software: Windows Operating system including basics of Microsoft Office like MS word, MS Excel and PowerPoint etc.
• Working with the Internet and e-mails: Web Browsing & Searching, Downloading & Uploading, Managing an E-mail Account, e-Banking.
• Basics of networking and cyber security: Networking devices and protocols, Network and information security threats (like hacking, virus, worms, Trojan etc.), and preventive measures.

Paper II (Statistics):

Skill Test:

DEST (Data Entry Speed Test): The “Data Entry Speed Test” (DEST) Skill Test will be conducted for a passage of about 2000 (two thousand) key depressions for 15 (fifteen) minutes. Detailed instructions regarding Skill Test will be provided by the Regional Offices of the Commission.

Here are the steps to download the SSC CGL Tier-II & III, Admit Card:

• Visit the official website of SSC or Click on the region-wise admit card links.
• Then click on the link to download SSC CGL Tier-II & III  Admit Card for your Region.
• After that enter your Registration Number/Roll Number followed by your D.O.B to procure the admit card.
• Select the area which you preferred while applying for the exam.
• Take a print of the downloaded SSC CGL to admit card for future reference.

Result:

SSC CGL Result will be published on the Official website month of May to June. For the result candidates required login ID to check the online results. The result will show post wise and Marks wise.
