Candidates can apply for SSC CGL 2024 by visiting the official website. You have to go to the site & then find the Apply Online link following which the application form for the exam will open. Application Fee:

Rs.100/- for OBC candidates, General & no fee for PWD, women candidates, SC and ST. Payment can be done via both online modes offline modes.

Eligibility:

  • A candidate must be either a citizen of India; or a subject of Nepal, Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who had come over to India, before 1st January 1962 & is settled here; or a Person of Indian origin who had migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, East African Countries, or Vietnam with Intention Of Permanently Settling in India.
  • Age Limit: Candidates’ age should be between the ages of 18 & 27 years as of 1st January 2024. Age relaxation will be applicable as per government rule.

Exam Pattern:

The selection process for SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam (SSC CGL 2024) is given below :

  • Tier I Exam: It is the first stage of the exam & all candidates who had applied for this post are allowed to appear in this exam. It has objective types of questions with marks for all right answers & negative markings for wrong answers.
  • Tier-II Exam: This is the second stage examination. Only candidates who have been selected from the first level of examination & have gotten marks within a selected range of cut off marks are called for the Tier II stage.
  • Tier-III Exam: This is the third stage examination and it is a Descriptive type Test (Pen and Paper Mode).
  • Interview/Skill Test: The Final stage is Interview. Only those candidates who clear the second stage exam within the cut-off range are called for interview.

Tier-III Exam Pattern

  • This is a Descriptive Test in which candidates have to write essay/précis/letter/application etc.
  • The examination will be of the total of 100 marks & the duration will be of 60 minutes.
  • The duration of the examination will be 80 minutes for VH & Cerebral Palsy applicants.

Syllabus for SSC CGL 2024 Tier(I):

  • General Intelligence & Reasoning: Questions for verbal & non verbal type. This Component may include,  spatial orientation, space visualization, decision making, questions on analogies, discrimination, analysis, similarities & differences, problem-solving, judgment, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning & figural classification, visual memory, arithmetic number series, etc.
  • General Awareness: These questions will test a candidate’s general knowledge awareness, & its application s for society. Also, test knowledge of current events. The test will include questions related to India & neighboring Countries, Geography, especially about History; Economic Scene, Culture, Scientific Research & General Policy.
  • Numerical Aptitude: Questions in this part are set up such that they can test a candidate’s ability about the appropriate use of numbers as well as the candidate’s sense of numbers. Candidates’ ability is tested regarding computation of whole numbers, decimals & fractions, Percentages. Square Roots, Discount, Partnership Ratio & Proportion, Averages, Interest, Mixture & Allegation, Profit and Loss, Time & distance, Business, Time and Work, etc.
  • English Comprehension: The ability to understand English, writing ability, basic comprehension, etc. would need to be tested.

SSC CGL 2024 Syllabus for Tier (II):

  • Paper I: Arithmetic Ability: Done to test the appropriate use of numbers and number sense for the candidate. the scope of the Test will be — computation of Whole Numbers, fractions, decimals & its relationships between numbers, etc.
  • Paper-II: English Language & Comprehension: It tests a candidate’s knowledge and understanding of the English language and it is based on questions like spot error, antonyms, synonyms, spellings, fill in blanks, detecting the miss-spelled word, etc.
  • Measures of Central Tendency– Common measures of central tendency; Partition values.
  • Measures of Dispersion– Common measures dispersion, range, mean deviation quartile deviations, & standard deviation;
  • Moments, Kurtosis, Skewness
  • Correlation & Regression
  • Probability Theory: Meanings of probability; definitions of probability; Conditional & Compound probability.
  • Random Variable & Probability Distributions — Random variable; Probability functions; Expectation
  • Index-Number: Construction of index-numbers problems as well as meanings of Index-Numbers
  • Analysis of Variance: Questions about the analysis of both one-way as well as two-way classifieds data.
  • Sampling Theory: Questions related to sampling & non-sampling of errors; concepts s of a population and its sample; Parameters & statistics, Probability & also non-probability type sampling techniques, etc.
  • Time-Series Analysis: All questions regarding time series components and trend component determinations.

SSC CGL 2024 Salary Details:

SSC CGL 2024 there is two types of category post, the first is Group B and the second Group C. Both posts have a different salary pay scale. You can check below both category pay scale
