Steps To Apply For SSC GD Constable 2022:
- Visit the official website of SSC @ ssc.nic.in
- On the Home Page find the Latest News section.
- Then Click on SSC GD 2022 Notification.
- Read the entire notification carefully.
- After that, candidates need to register themselves on the official website.
- Candidates will be asked to enter all the details Adhar Number, Applicants Name, Fathers Name, Mother Name, Nationality, Gender, etc.,

SSC GD 2022 Eligibility Criteria:
To SSC GD Constable 2022 apply for the examination, certain eligibility is set that every candidate has to follow:
- Candidate must have completed class 10th successfully from some government-recognized board.
- The minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years and a maximum of 23. There will be age relaxation of 5 years to those belonging to SC / ST category and 3 years for OBC category candidates. Ex-Servicemen of the military from unreserved/general category will be age relaxation of 3 yrs, Ex-Servicemen from OBC will be given age relaxation of 6 years, and Ex-Servicemen from SC/ST category will be given 8 years of age relaxation.
- Those who have been living from 1st Jan 1980 to 31st Dec. 1989 in the Jammu & Kashmir State are also eligible to apply for the examination.
SSC GD Constable 2022 Exam Pattern:

- The examination will take place in Online Mode.
- The computer based examination will be conducted in English and Hindi only.
- The question paper will be divided into four sections – English/Hindi, Reasoning, General Knowledge, and Quantitative Aptitude.

- The question paper will have 80 Multiple Choice Questions.
- For every correct answer, the candidate will fetch 2 marks and there will be a deduction of 0.50 marks for every incorrect answer.

Syllabus:
General Intelligence & Reasoning:
- Analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns will be tested through questions principally of non-verbal type. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, etc.
General Knowledge and General Awareness:
- Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, and scientific Research etc. These Questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.
Elementary Mathematics:
- This paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.
English :
- Spot the Error, Fill in the Blanks, Synonyms/Homonyms, Antonyms, Spellings / Detecting Misspelt words, Idioms & Phrases, One word substitution, Improvement of Sentences, Active / Passive Voice of Verbs, Conversion into Direct / Indirect narration, Shuffling of Sentence parts, Shuffling of Sentences in a passage, Cloze Passage, Comprehension Passage.
Hindi :
- वर्तनी की सामान्य अशुद्धियाँ तथा शब्दों के शब्द रूप, शब्दों के स्त्रीलिंग, बहुवचन, किसी वाक्य को अन्य लिंग में परिवर्तन, मुहावरा व उनका अर्थ, अशुद्ध वाक्यों के शुद्ध रूप, विलोमार्थी शब्द, समानार्थी व पर्यायवाची शब्द, अनेक शब्दों के लिए एक शब्द, कहावतें व लोकोक्तियां के अर्थ, संधि विच्छेद, क्रिया से भाववाचक संज्ञा बनाना, रचना एवं रचयिता इत्यादि|

Admit card is the most important document that candidates need to carry along with center. It is easy to avail from the official website. There will be separate admit card for written test and medical test. Admit card consisted of information such as Name, Date of Birth, and Registration No. etc. Admission into the exam venue is not possible without admit card.

- Fetch the exam result from the official website.
- The result for PST / PET can be acquired in the month of April most probably.
- The result for PST / PET can be acquired in the month of August.
- Result for Medical Examination can be attained in the month of November.

Cut Off:
Final merit list will be prepared as per the category of the candidate. The minimum cut off percentage for selection under General will be 35% and for SC/ST/OBC it will be 33%
